The darkness wraps around all,
blocking everything from my sight.
Taking with it,
all that gives me delight.

I watch as my hopes and dreams vanish,
my heart breaks and shatters in anguish.
I hate this darkness, that cares not at what it does,
taking away from me the people and things I love.

I want to rise up and fight.. to scream and yell,
but I know this darkness will still preveil.
I look on with bitter sweet tears,
hoping my memories will be enough to care me through the remainer of my years.
