I hear a voice
as if made of mist
from the stream.

I see an angels face
as if a dream.
Her features unclear.

Yet this song she sings
to my heart
reminds me of things.

Beauty and peace.
My companions gather
to hear the rain.

With the gentle water
so flows away
any strain of life.

The sound blooms out of her soul
like the flowers of spring.

Then the song ends, my companions go.
There is no emptiness.
When the rain returns
so does her song.

The memory of beauty.
