"Fog in a dream, my Lady," he said,
Before he took her to his bed.
"Dust and smoke, I am but lies."
And still she died alive
In the clouds of his eyes.

"You never heed, my Lady," he said.
"Beware the dawn, it draws blood red
Lightening, raging burning fire."
And still her fingers bled
In the mouth of a liar.

Bled before the light of dawn,
His Lady, where the knife was drawn
Across her palm, smoke and lies.
And still she died alive
In the clouds of his eyes.

"Care not for the sun, my Lord," she cried.
"Come taste the darkness by my side."
Queen of night, through raging fire.
And still her fingers bled
In the mouth of a liar.

"Be still, my love, my Lord, said she.
"Believe in truth, believe in me.
"Desire is mine, not your concern."
Within her blazing eyes
Old secrets blacken, burn.

"My Lord," she said, "obsessions burn.
"My sorcery the wheels will turn.
"Do you think to cut the ties?"
And still she dies alive
In the clouds of his eyes.

"I fear the dark, my Lady fair."
His fingers tangled in her hair.
He the light and she the fire,
And still her fingers bled
In the mouth of a liar.

Shadows passed beyond the night.
She said, "my Lord, beyond my sight
"Is passion, all that truth denies."
And still she died alive
In the clouds of his eyes.

Which would be the one to choose?
Which of them had more to lose?
Obsessions peak, then travel higher.
And still her fingers bled
In the mouth of a liar.

"I am the dark, my Lord," said she.
"If you fear, why come to me?
"Time after time you will return."
Within her blazing eyes
Old secrets blacken...
Burn.
