Place your ear to my tummy,
does it sound all funny?
place your hand on my tummy,
does it feel all lumpy?

The tiny little movements,
are tiny little kicks,
the sweetest gift of all,
soon a baby will be born.

How i sit here and await,
the sound that is oh so great,
the cry of life,
the grasp from a tiny hand,
how life does feel so grand.

Now all wrapped up in a shawl,
the sweetest gift of all,
a baby that's new-born,
how life goes on,
and love grows strong,
you truly do belong.
