Thrice I stumbled upon loves true and rare
Who despite my shortcomings
Were willing to bear...

Thrice I was asked to be a man true and rare
Who was good and honest
And was willing to bear...

Thrice have I failed in manner true and rare
Those who I loved and
Those who would bear
The love I returned
That I thought true and rare.

Isnt it ...

just hell, that love thing,

and trying to get it right.

If there was ever a first right time

I would love to know about it..

However, I find your write true and rare.

three lost loves, three found stanzas

This piece has been cited in the New Poems Review of 2/4/8. Almost over-bearing, but rings true and points the finger at the speaker rather than the loves lost. Well done.
