Click hereMy soul searched on
Even though my heart had stopped.
I desire your affection,
Yet are not worthy of your notice.
The harder I try to toughen my heart
The weaker my resolve.
The more I deny,
The more I desire
As a goddess your beauty is of the ages,
As a muse your talents are unequaled.
My heart is empty when you are away,
And soars when you are near;
Our time together flies like the wind,
And crawls (almost as if backward)
When we’re not.
My love is as delicate as crystal;
As sweet as ambrosia;
As resolute as diamond;
As unfailing as time.
I wish I knew how you would react
If you were sure of my identity;
For the longer I wait in secret
The less time we might have to share.
Damn that was lovely.
Lines 16-19 made me swoon.
What a wonderful poem.
