The day stretches out before me
The night was way to short
What will I do with this gift I have been given?

Will I throw it away with anxieties?
Will I prosper only to lose my soul?
Will I bow down to help a needing person?

I can hope I will live this infinitesimal moment in time
Being patient .. Being kind .. Being understanding ..
Perhaps I can be all this?

If I fail at all or even one of these lofty thoughts
Perhaps I will get another chance
After all today was only twenty-four hours away
from yesterday...
