a cold wooden plank lies beneath my seat
smooth rounded stones placate my feet
i’ve found what i’ve come here for
complete, total silence and peace

when the plane flies overhead
or the road roars it’s wave
stillness is broken
distraction and stress, craved

here the calm is cool breeze
lifting thoughts completely
my spirit, my being
feels light and free

as opposed to worn and heavy
the results of continual noise
always present never hiding
running away, only finding

advancing light, deafening sound climaxes
in complete silence and total darkness
