The cat is asleep
Fresh Air on NPR
Terry Gross asking someone something,
Air temp outside is zero
Stark birch trees
Silhouettes against the orange/red sky
Sunrise 9:20
This time of year at this latitude,
I should have a plan
A goal for the day
A destination
A desire,
But would I be better for it
Or just busy
Doing It
Whatever It might be,
I consider whether I should have
Another coffee
Or a cappuccino
Both available ten feet way
In the kitchen,
I ponder this choice
As I hear the water stop
In the shower,
The bathroom door opens
And you walk my way
Lick your lips and smile
Very clean
And very naked,
Perhaps your plan for today
Can become our plan
And the coffee/cappuccino decision
Can wait,
liked lebroz comment almost as well as your pen...refreshing words for this day...blue
Reminded me of Susan Vegas songs. Sober. Clear. restrained. I am going to search for more too...
"Fresh Air on NPR" made me think of someone...
Anyway, good poem. Very good writing.
I really like this. How have I missed your work? (Goes to catch up)
