this is how i want to be taken
fast and furious like the wind
to hear it beating like frantic wings
inside my chest and in my ears.
this is how i want to be taken
huge and crashing like the waves
to see it rising, about to engulf me
to drown wholly and completely.
this is how you should take me
hot like a planet too close to the sun
red like the vast clouds covering venus
circling and storming
like the end of the world.
