Clutter my head like leaves,
Littering the base of my mind.
They say in myriad ways
How much I miss your eyes.
Unsent letters
Stuck in the depths of my dresser drawers,
Yellowed with fear. Stamped, sealed,
Unread. They say
How much I love your ghost.
Unsaid lines,
Hackneyed and frayed around the sides,
They bathe in tears that never fall.
Never have I said
How I lust after you.
Undone touchings,
Skins that never meet...
Static cling in my script assert
This attraction
How much I want your hands in mine.
I go on
Unwriting, Unsending, Unsaying,
Undoing all you mean to me.
Lest you see and ungive
What measure of joy you'd given me.
Yep, unrequited love. :) But it is good for poetry. :)
