an intelligent sort
who tried to impress
with utterances multi-syllabic
I asked him to
please spare us do,
verbosity and pomposity
when a simple phrase will really do, like,
"Your head's up your ass."

twelveooneover 18 years agocontratian opinion, neither succeeds well as either poetry or humour in that there is little of the eureka feeling in it, no surprises. It comes off more as a flat statement.
