Born below with my brothers as basalt
Partial melt with little sister crystals
Warm in our rosy room beneath a fault
A merry mix of mafic minerals

The fault opens, soon the sky above calls
Pressure release, shortly we feel our flow
Wild wind whisks us away we’re without walls
Suddenly skyward we begin to blow

Bunched bits of rock and gas, a glob of glow
A fleck of ash, so sad, no source for sand
Brief glory floating free to drift down slow
A speck of dust again on earth I land.

Sadly I will weather away to clay.
Soon washed to sea by rain, there set to stay

this is

simply beautiful. I loved it although the line that starts with "wild" was a bit much on the similar sounds, still a kick as s poem.
