For my 91 year old Mother in acute renal failure .. fighting on ..

Frail fingers pluck
at the counterpane
in hospital blue,
as you awake from
a drug induced sleep.
Oxygen assisted whispers
draw us closer to your side,
but you slip down again
into that dark place
where the fight is
Yours
Mother ..

so sorry

the waiting is teh hardest part.I've been there. this brought tears to my eyes. i hope you can be with her when she crosses over, that was the most beautiful experience I have even witnessed in my life. no longer afraid to die.

stay strong
