Darlings lie down, making sweet noise.
Fervent decadence ensues as he toys.
“Sh! Not so loud: he’ll hear you,” Mary said.
Hard it was to be calm with those legs spread,
Knowing in kind what she did to all boys.

A sleeping father behind the wall, poised.
He snorted and chortled with dreamless joys
As she grips tight to the black coated head.
Darlings lie down.

Busted purity and sinful tunes annoy,
“Mary, run away with me…” he deploys.
She admired his courage, but turned bright red.
He looked up and saw who he had dreaded,
Darlings…lie down.

With a little editing...

this might be a decent ghazal. This poem was mentioned in today's New Poetry Recommendations.
