Standing at the ocean
Watching the waves pounding.
Is an experience that is always significant yet never the same.
I feel my desire to dive in again.
I've been testing the waters for the last hour
throwing myself in with the greatest of pleasure
we've become one.
Yet, I take a step back, for now
and another.
The ocean seems to respond lustfully
it seems to breath with a longing
Throwing even bigger waves at my feet
saying, "Come to me?"
"Enter me!"
"I long to have you back inside me."
Waves more then 10 feet tall
reaching out for me.

I yearn to experience that wave
that rush
but somehow I'm able to hold back.
I turn towards the dunes
and watch the tall grasses wave
Those dunes curving themselves
in shapes far more voluptuous then any supermodel will ever be.
I see your hips as you recline in all your glory
I see your breasts, filled with nourishment for my soul
My feet get wet as I stand there,
tall,
fully naked,
and the sun shining on my dripping wet skin,
as you reach out to me.
Letting me know, that you can't stand it any longer
I turn around and slowly enter you.
I see the waves coming
but I don't rush
The waves keep rising
swelling
as the they come closer
yet I still move slowly.

The first wave hits me
And I brace myself fully
It comes down on me hard
yet I don't move an inch
every muscle in my body
has to tighten up fully to withstand your power.

It only invigorates you and sets you of even more
The next wave is like a tidal wave
I see it coming
It scares the hell out of me
But I don't move, I just press forward and brace myself
And when it hits me, it does
It swallows me up
it fully engulfs me.
But I stand my ground
I am able to open my eyes for a second
and realize the next wave has already arrived
it is hovering above me
Time stands still
only the white foam up top moves fighting to take position
and a couple of seagulls on the horizon
trumpeting the attack
I'm in the middle of the pipeline
with water around my ankles still dropping.

The seagulls go silent
And I know the end is near.
I quickly write a message in a bottle
and drop it in the sand right beside me
"Adieu!"
The pause button was released
and time caught up with me
The wave drops all of its life force upon me
rattling me
and blowing me around like a leaf in a storm
This wave has taken me
I can't breath.
Now, fully aware that I am looking death in the eye
Not sure when I will be able to come up for air.
The Gods and Goddesses stand at my side
Watching my exacerbating struggle with life
They are letting me know that I am one of them
They all hail my fight,
they call upon Poseidon to safe me
They even plead with Zeus to come rescue me
but all is in vain
Death gets the better of me
I breath in your waters
and I close my eyes.
There is silence
The heavens are upon me
I have returned to being one with the all
Fresh oysters with shiny pearls
Ripe peaches with big pits
And the music of Orpheus
Guiding me around hades
If I don't look back now, maybe I'll be able to return myself to life.
Just trust,
Just trust that some things are not for the human eye to capture,
If your mind's eye catches that part of you, it will for ever be tamed.
And it will never be able to run like the wild horses again.
I surrender to that force in your nature
I am but a canoe to you, oh vast ocean
The noise of the breaking waves that has wrapped me up like a baby
leaves an impression on my entire skeleton
tagging every bone in my body with the words
"I was here."
But then it gets quieter
You have thrown me back on the beach, like a mere mortal
Overcome by the intensity of nature.

I is indifferent to discover which side of the scale of life and death I ended up on
I just lay there
naked
on my back
arms stretched out
and my best guess, still breathing

I hear a woman's voice,
"Are you o.k.?"
I feel a kiss on my forehead
And I open one eye.
You say I have a shit eating grin on my face.
And I think to myself
"Man I really ate it that time!"
My skin is soar
salt water and sand
will do that to you.
But no mater how soar I am
I make a vow to myself
That next time I will stand even stronger
even longer
and even deeper.
Knowing full well the consequences ...
Your force will swell up even more magnificent
And I will stand there and see the pure rawness of your nature
where dolphins arrive
to herald the coming of a 1000 whales
who all jump up at once
to create a tidal wave this bay has never seen before
and even if I tried to run there'd be no land left to run on.
But I'm not here to run, but to become one.
And I will ride thee waves, like I was an Hawaiian
Born to be in your water.
