Standing in the darkness
her shadow on the door
Longing for the better times
when both thier hearts would soar

Looking out at blackness
tears have wet her eyes
A blurring of the streetlights
silently she cries..

She feels the string of broken love
tugging at her heart
To fix the course of her life
she wonders where to start

Tears for the memories...
Tears for the loss...
For a love that burned so brightly
someone must pay the cost...

Slowly shall they fade away
She turns to close the door
the future still remaining
M'lady weep no more...
