When two hearts met
Time was cruel
No idea of health nor
Ages physical and mental decline

Taken too soon by the mind that was lost
Taken too soon by the character faults
Exacerbation of the worst
Annihilation of the best

So away from the anger
Away from the torment
no longer the caretaker
no longer the pawn

Stewardship returned to the owner
I left with mine to repair

Not wondering not caring was ahead
just hope for a heart

Such is the way of life
Love clouds the young mind with joy
shielding it for sanities sake

Then the clouds form
reality settle in
You have a place to go
a place where you save yourself

And hope
