I am from
all that I have seen
and felt
and heard
and done,
loved and
hated,
cried for and
ranted at ...

I am from
the unfathomable chemistry
of intertwined spirals
programmed and set
upon a course
to some dark destiny ...

I am from
the elements
of carbon
and nitrogen
and oxygen
and all the rest
born of the death
of far off stars ...

I am from
some eruption
of everything
out of what we conceive
as nothing
lost perhaps
in dimensions we cannot fathom
with a past unknowable
and a destiny
darker than our own doom

So …
where are you from?
