WHISPERS IN THE NIGHT

You quietly whisper to me
In the still of the night,
Hidden by the shadows created
By the moons soft light.

You reach out for me
With an inviting hand,
But I cannot grasp it
For out of reach you stand.

Then suddenly with me
Your tender love I see,
But it seems thru your eyes
I see the sight of me.

I feel the comforting warmth
Of your sensual tender skin,
I turn looking for your face
But you disappear again.

As I make love with you
So very deep inside,
I feel your sweet presence
Though you somehow hide.

How can we possibly share
Such passion, desire and lust?
When I cannot find you
Even though I feel as if I must.

Yes, how can we be together
But so very far apart?
That I seem to always miss you
When you quietly depart.

Were you ever really here
With me, by my side?
Or have all my senses
Simply to me just lied?

Then you answered all my questions
Everything that I had asked,
By saying your presence here with me
Would never ever last.

You spoke to me softly
Saying it all was a dream,
No matter how very real
It all might to me seem.

Yes, in the still of the night
You quietly whispered to me,
That all we had shared
Was simply just a fantasy…BWL
