As I lie awake in my bed the thoughts of you linger
With my eyes closed I imagine you there
When the music's playing, softly it caress me
And I know everything's gonna be alright

When the leaf falls down towards the ground, but gets swept away
I know that the times are changing
As the church bell rings its powerful sound
I lose myself in the echo that slowly dies behind

While the arms of the clock is ticking
Nothing stopping their way
There will be another forever
Sometime further down the way

As the sirens die out in the distance
I can feel your breath against mine
As the water drops fall down my face
I can feel your cheek a few inches away

With the lightest touch of your hand
And the tender kiss that you bare
I wrap my arms around you
Knowing in my heart how much you really care

With the heart there comes feelings
Feelings hard to control
Who knows which ones are right
How do we dare following our souls

As the future draws nearer and nearer
Wishing we could turn back to what has been
As the wind blows its last puff
Winter is here to set in
