Maybe you can walk away
As you so often have done
Turn your back on trust, friendship
     And love
Throw so many things to the wind

Maybe you can surround yourself
And insulate you against the world
Wrap yourself in your false love
     And pretend
Ignoring all that has been

Maybe you can build up that wall
Isolate yourself from yourself
Keeping out the pain that your illness
     May cause
Pretend to be happy again

Maybe you can do those things
Live in your own fantasy world
bu I will not let you invade me
     Once more
You are shut out, no longer let in.
