Your Overlooked Love Is Welcome

byMyEros333©

Deep within it burns.
Pain.
Deeper still it surely bleeds.
Betrayal.
Broken heart nearly bisected with can-opener precision.
Tragic.

But that was years ago
Lost to the ebbs of Time's flow
Hearts can mend, hearts can heal
But best of all...hearts can feel

And when the time again for love again draws near
I wait a moment longer, not too much longer I fear
That's when it strikes me to my soul
Nigh every heart's been broken, few left whole
Abused hearts oft' harden, start to lose their feeling
How do I assure the sex isn't just something I'm stealing

It's so hard...so very hard...
to prove yourself worthy in this new millenium

I can't be the only one
There has to be many more
A woman who never had opportunity
To show how much she could adore
Taken for granted in the past
Or completely overlooked now as before

Deep love can come of gratitude.
Given that sole chance.
Your lovemaking to be made, comes as a mutual gift.
Not some soul-stealing dance.
Some heart out there surely speaks my name.
I've seen no obituary for "Romance".
