A really heart warming tale. Read it to the end, really well written. A keeper.
...I finally got the god damned pun at the end. Sheeesh.
5-stars... for the pun alone. Wow, a whole story just get that pun in. I’m amazed.
Too many wierd things happening here. Strangers sleeping in the house. She likes him but dumps him when she thinks he's helped her. Little kid coming up with plans like fake wedding announcement. Point of view jumping all around. Not one of my favorites.
Not my first or last reading of this. Claire was in love with him and he was in love with her and Mouse got a great Step Mom

But what is reality? Her career has exploded and she will be gone 10 months out of each year acting. How will that affect her relationship with Tim? Basically like most Hollywood marriages, divorce and remarriage 3 or 4 times...actors are the shallowest people in America.
Really enjoyed this romance, dreams and wishes triumph. Thankyou for sharing.
Two Christmas stories, the other one being SS06's 'Two Christmases' although his isn't written in the 'Romance' category it did have Santa and a happy ending.
I love how the classic Christmas poem is woven into the story.
Dude, buddy. She's actually a world renowned assassin that was called up to kill the effing boogeyman. She has enough money to stop working, just don't kill her dog.
I re-read this story today. My favorite Christmas story! This story is on my top ten story list,
It always brings tears to my eyes... great great story.
***** stars.
Happy Holidays!!

Such a sweet story! I loved the conniving little mouse who brought her father and his love back together again! Five stars!
Now that was sweet, as others have said. I'm not sure an 8 year old can be that conniving but who cares. 5 stars..
Might have been a big star on Broadway, but she was completely outshined by Grace in this one. What a wonderful little character.
"It had seemed like such a good idea, asking Santa Claus for a new girlfriend for Daddy. She hoped he hadn't screwed up her other presents this badly." This line from Grace's mind stole the show for me. It's exactly the mindset of a precocious child.
Wonderful.
Nice to read a sweet story. 7 stars, because they won't change the rating system, so if I think it deserves it, that's what you get. The Bear approves. I normally read and contribute to Loving Wives; Guess I'm going to have to broaden my horizons. It's nice to read about decent people getting lucky. Keep writing.

I read this a year ago with a tear in my eye, I read it tonight with a smile all the way thru, a wonderful story for an old 78 year old man. I used to read only sci-fi in my youth but now it's romance and LW after losing my wife of 40 years.
My second by this author...five again...after leafing thru all the usual fetishes I'm becoming a sucker for a good Romance story. My only critique, I wish the author's heroines wouldn't jump into bed with the hero so quickly. The stories could be a bit longer to accommodate for that, and because they're a pleasure to read.
Now this was a wonderfully written Christmas story, it was well paced just drew me in as a reader hoping that Tim and Claire would fall in love and have that happily ever after. This is the kind of Xmas love story that everyone enjoys watching the Hallmark channel. Well done 5-stars
Good story. For those that question on Grace not fitting her age, Remember she had lost her mother and often that will stun or accelerate maturity in a child. Having seen my children grow up my daughter had serious mental issues and my son grew up much to fast dealing with her. So Grace being wiser that a typical 7 or 8 year old is not a reach to me. As for Grace taking Claire to her room to sleep remember Grace had asked Santa for a new mom, so yeah while it was strange it was something a little girl might well do. 5* this is the 2nd best Christmas Story I have read. The best is Bringing Carrie Home, it will make you cry.
Pretty darn good even for the second time. I wonder if I asked Santa..............................Nah! But you never know, I'm just one of those dirty old men that need love to. 5 stars before and still!
Gracie needs a baby sister, and a mommy that loves her. Her new mommy's name is Claire Clarke...
(5/7/2023) I agree with SatyrDick and relate with dgfergie. This story goes on my list.

Nth re-read!
Like I commented on 'Gone Fishin' - this excellent 'Romance' is an excellent 'palate cleanser' after several 'Loving Wives' stories!
11/10!!!!!
Wonderful story of romance and love. Grace is a wonderful addition to the story. The twist with the fishnet stockings at the end by Grace and Claire is super. Loved it. Getting Claire and Tim together is perfect. Enjoyable read thanks for sharing.
An after thought. This story is slightly similar to a DanielleKitten story, The Christmas Blessings. Both have that special romance flowing through them. The widower with a kid(s) and Christmas magic make them so special. Fabulous reads! I am so glad each was shared for me to enjoy. John
Wonderful story, 10stars! And next Christmas, daddy and her new mommy, gave Gracie a real doll to take care of...
Great tale, a Christmas story with a child - thank you. 5 stars

There were a lot of good authors and good stories on Literotica 15 years ago and this was one.
I first started reading on Literotica about that time.
I suggest when you come across some of these long gone authors you keep a list of their names, and go back to them every so often for good entertainment.
The Hoary Cleric
Fuck Fuck Fuck, Mrs Bennett. Old bitches and their drama over colorful words.
4* with Tim, Grace and Claire but too short.
