He narrowed his eyes at her as she took the keys and then pushed out the door without another word. His truck was parked at the back of the lot and she walked the deserted parking lot without a qualm. Monroe City Air Force Base was a well traveled and highly secure base. Throwing her bag in the back end of his truck, she climbed into the cab and stuck the ignition key into the ignition. Then she waited for him to show up.
