Better Days

Jim sat in shock for a moment. He had never considered another child but the idea did not repel him. He pulled Cheryl into his arms and gave her a gentle kiss on the top of her head. He said, "Cheryl I had never considered that but I don't think I am against it. I am afraid I might not be too much help to you with it though. You know I am 47 now and by the time a child is born and raised I will be in my late 60's. If we are going to do this I think we need to do it now."

"Really? Oh, yes, please, can we have a baby that is wholly ours? I can stop taking my pills now and we can work on it really hard."

Jim laughed and said, "OK. Let's do it Honey."

And life goes on....
