3. Now here is the most important part for you to understand; 'Why you think you are a bitch.' There is a very simple answer to that question, 'You are your mother's daughter.'"

"What; that's it? I am a bitch, because I am my mother's daughter?"

"If you don't believe me, ask her before we go to the gym in the morning. She will not lie to you. She will tell you upfront, that she is a bitch. Don't ever cross her, because she will take your head off before you realize you did something wrong. She has told me many stories about your father. How he threatened to fuck the four of you, when you were in your early teens. When she finished with him, he left the house, in fear of his life. No one ever messes with that woman's children.

"Holy Shit dad, I never knew about that. I never saw her stand up to him. I only saw her being beaten by him. He was always punishing her for one reason or another."

"He was punishing her for something the four of you did. She would not let him touch any of you."

"You do know how to make a girl feel awful about her behavior, dad."

"That's not why I'm here sweetheart. I'm only here to help you grow up. I told your mother that you needed help in that area. I also told her that I might hold you back one year before I let you go to college. You are old enough to go, but I'm not sure if you are mentally ready for it. I may keep you with your mother and me, as we do the presidential campaign for your uncle. It will give you a chance to travel, meet different types of people, and get out of that rabbit hole your father put you in."

"Debbie will have a fit. We had never been away from one another. She will not be able to sleep, and neither will I."

"I didn't think about that, I will have to discuss it with your mother, and with Debbie. If I put you into college, I fear that you will sink to the bottom of the pond, because you're not ready for that experience, yet. Look at what your older sisters went through. You could not have handled that situation. You need a steadying hand, and Debbie is too young to give it to you. Your sisters will be there, but they have their own lives to live. They can't stop everything to babysit you. They would, just to protect you, but I will not allow that happen. We will talk more about this as this school year comes to an end. Now, I have room for one more dessert. Would you like me to eat it?"

"Can I have a rain check, dad. You have given me a lot to think about, and I have a few people I have to apologize to."

"Danni, you have no idea how proud of you I am. I would have been disappointed if you didn't choose your sisters over sex. I would have done what you asked, and made you very happy, but I would have been very disappointed in you."

"The four of us have already discussed this, dad. My sisters, my mother, and you will always come first. Everybody else is secondary. Boyfriends and husbands will mean nothing to us. This family and our children will always mean everything to us. We will do anything to keep it happy, together, and safe."

"What did I ever do to deserve the five of you? Go to your sisters; anytime you want me to deliver on that rain check, I will make myself available to you." He kissed Danni on her head, and spanked her on her rump, as she got off his lap, and started to crawl out of the closet.

"Ow, what was that for?"

"How many times do I have to ask you, not to shake that pretty thing in my face, when it's naked?"

"Dad, I think you would go a mile out of your way to spank a naked ass."

"So far, 10 miles has been my limit."

"You are just awful."

87. Everything Collapses

He smiled as she left the closet, knowing she was happy again. He had given her a lot to think about, but it was only the middle of October, and August was a long way away. He got up, returned to his bedroom, and joined his fiancée in their bed.

Sharon was sleeping peacefully, when she felt him slide in behind her. It wasn't him she minded sliding in with her; she felt 'IT' settle between the cheeks of her ass. "Didn't that damn thing ever go down?" She remained as still as possible, until Fred whispered in her ear, "Dear, you can't fool me. You stiffened as soon as you felt my dick touch your skin. That wasn't a very nice way to greet your best friend, and your lover. What shall I do to punish you? Shall I give you the spanking you earned, so I can enjoy watching you do sit-ups tomorrow morning? Should I put you on the treadmill, and watch you run 5 miles; naked, and in your bare feet? Or should I get out the clamshell, insert it in your ass, put it on the number nine, and let it stay on until the batteries run out? What do you think you deserve for such an obvious display of disrespect for your future husband."

Sharon turned towards him and in a rather derisive tone of voice said, "Why don't you just fuck me in the ass, and get it over with."

Fred was hurt to his very core, and she knew it by the look on his face. He had been joking with her, and she came back with a knife to his heart.

"Good night Sharon, sleep well," grabbed his robe, left the room, closing the door behind him. He headed for the den, but changed his mind. He went into his office, locked the door, and sat behind his desk. He didn't have much work to do, but he started doing it. His fury did not go away. He needed an escape mechanism, and work was it. Clark had to put him back in the office, or he would go out of his mind. He didn't know if it was the discussion they had about his former employers, but he had to get away from her. He would cancel the wedding, and get away from her permanently.

This was not the way he pictured his life. He would support the girls. He would protect them with every fiber of his being; but for Sharon to turn against him like this, for no reason at all, tore his ordered mind to shreds. He decided to leave very early in the morning, before the girls woke up. He couldn't bear to face them.

Sharon sat in bed, with her knees to her chest crying. 'What the hell did she just do, and why did she do it? Why did she turn on him, like that? He wouldn't have done any of those things to her, and she knew it. All she would have had to say was, "Please Fred, let it go for tonight. I am tired, and I need to rest." He would have acquiesced, without a second thought. Instead, she turned on him, like she did her first husband when she had her period, and ripped his heart out. Was she out of her fucking mind? Could she save their relationship? He gave her the dream of every woman; a stable, loving relationship, protection for her and her girls, and a fulfilling sex life. She had never dreamed this was possible. Now, she was ill prepared to ask him to take her back. She had lost the only person she ever trusted and cared for. She needed help, and there were only two women in her life that could help her: Aunt Julia, and Dolores Free. She chose Dolores, because she already used the tactic her Aunt Julia would advise her to use, and she lost her man because of it.

Michael and Dolores would kill her for calling this early in the morning. This was an emergency, it was 1:30 A.M., and both Michael and Dolores would kill her and she needed help desperately.

******

Michael answered the phone, "Free."

"Michael, this is Sharon Williams, I'm sorry to call you at this ungodly hour, but I am in trouble. I need to speak to Dolores. I fucked up big time, and I think Fred will leave me because of it."

"Did he find you with another man?"

"I could never do anything like that to him, Michael. Could I speak to Dolores, please?"

"She's on her way downstairs, to her office. She will pick up her phone in a moment. Hang tight Sharon, there is always hope to salvage any situation."

Dolores picked up the phone. "I have it Michael. Sharon, what happened between you two? Tell me slowly, and tell me everything from your point of view."

"That's the problem Dolores, he didn't do anything wrong. I overreacted shamefully, and I hurt him more than the bullets did. I didn't realize how fragile he was. I cut his heart out. I lost him tonight, I know I did. I saw it in his face, when he said good night, and left the bedroom."

"Did you go after him, and apologize?"

"No, I was frozen to the spot of my insanity. I didn't know what to do, or what to say. What am I going to tell my girls in the morning? They are going to hate me, when I tell them I lost Fred, and why. He has been their rock. He has been their reason for doing well in school, and growing into independent young women. Sandy and Cindy could never have done what they did at school without his help and guidance. What am I going to do for them? How is Fred going to treat them? Will he be able to survive this?"

"Sharon, you still didn't tell me what you did."

Sharon related the entire story, and cried while she did it. When she finished Dolores said, "That's it; that's everything that happened between you two?"

"I lost him, isn't that enough?"

"I should take you both out behind a barn, and beat the shit out of you."

"You have to remember Dolores, with his brain injury; he might not have been ready for my tone of voice, or for such a rejection. He is always funny, never serious. I don't know if he has that in him anymore."

"You have a valid point, Sharon. Let me come over to your house, and see if I can defuse this situation, before it gets out of hand."

"Thank you Dolores, I will have all the lights on."

Dolores arrived just before 3 A.M., to a hysterical Sharon, and four young women, who had been woken up by her crying.

Cindy asked her mother, "What's going on mom? Why is Mrs. Free here?"

Dolores answered for Sharon. "Girls sit down; I want to talk with you. I don't want you to get up, even when I'm finished. I have work to do, and I don't want to be disturbed. Do you understand?"

"Yes, Mrs. Free."

"Your mother, accidentally insulted Fred. There is a possibility he may leave."

The girls screamed, "No, Dad can't leave; we need him too much."

Sharon was already hysterical, but hearing her daughters' plea, she broke down completely.

"Girls that is why I'm here. I am going to try to salvage the situation. What your mother did was terrible, but not so terrible that Fred should want to abandon the relationship he has with the five of you. Your relationship is stronger than the argument that took place. Where would he be at this hour of the morning?"

"If he's not sleeping in the den, he's in his office working."

"You four come with me."

He wasn't in the den, so they headed for his office. When they got to Fred's office door, Dolores said, "Bang, kick on the door, and yell, let us in, or we will knock it down, until you open this door. When he does, say hi dad, go back to your mother, and try to help her. I will talk with your father."

Initially, Fred ignored them, but as their language turned racier, he started laughing. He yelled out, "That's two, Debbie."

"It can't be two, if you're not in there."

Finally Fred acquiesced. He opened the door, and his girls said, "Hi dad," as Dolores Free, brushed by him, into his office.

Fred frowned at his group of traitors. "I will get you for this."

Sandy said, "You would have to be here to do that."

"Bitches."

Danni yelled with glee, "That's one dad."

Fred closed the door, locked it, and asked Dolores, "What can I do for you, Dolores."

"Fred, don't you think the question should be, "What can I do for you?"

"Why would you ask me that question? I didn't do anything wrong. I was playing a game with my intended; and for no reason at all she decided to rip my head off and my heart out. I acted appropriately. I wished her a good night. I did not accost her. I did not strike her, as her former husband did. I was a perfect gentleman. She no longer wishes my company; so I will be leaving in the morning."

"What about the girls?"

"I will always support my girls. I will always be around them. Whatever needs they have; I will take care of them. I love them as if they were my own."

"What if Sharon gets a restraining order?"

"It will be up to each girl, individually. They are over 18 years old, therefore they are adults. If they want me in their lives, all they have to do is say so. If the opposite is true, I will have to live with their decision."

"Do you realize how much Sharon loves you, and how much she regrets the mistake she made tonight?"

"I always thought she loved me. She always acted like she did, until tonight. I don't know what has changed between us. She never came down to say she was sorry. She knew where I was. She never knocked on the door. I never heard a word from her."

"She saw the look in your eyes, and on your face, when you left the bedroom. She thought she had lost you. She cried, not knowing what to do. She was trapped inside herself thinking about her first husband. She did not know how to deal with it. Finally, she had the courage to call me. It took everything she had in her to do it. She was making so much noise, she woke up the girls. When I walked in, she was at the table with them, but was not able to tell them why she was crying. When I did, the girls screamed they needed you, and she broke down."

"What would you like me to do Dolores? Go to her and apologize for something I didn't do. I gave her everything I had to give. I gave her my soul and my heart. I took care of her children, and treated them with the respect, and dignity they deserved. They could have wound up with lives like their mother, but both they and I got lucky. What would you like me to do? What would you have me say to her to make this go away? How do you repair a broken heart for the second time? I nearly gave my life away to save her uncle. Do I give it away again to save her?"

Dolores thought for a second. "Let's take these questions one at a time Fred.

What I would like you to do; 'Nothing,' because I don't count. Only Sharon, the girls, and you count.

Do I want you to apologize? No, because you did not do anything wrong; unless you teased her a little too much; and she was a little too tired at the end of a very long day, and she snapped at you.

Next, every man, who is truly in love, is supposed to give the love of his life, his heart, and soul, without reservation. You gave Sharon your heart and soul.

She also gave you her heart and soul. Earlier this morning, she made a mistake. Are you willing to throw her heart and soul away because she made one mistake?

In reference to her children; any man worth his salt would take care of those girls, and protect them, after learning what they had been through.

You ask me again; 'What would I have you do?' My answer remains the same. 'Nothing,' I don't count. The only people that count are Sharon, Sandy, Cindy, Debbie, Danni, and Fred. What would you like to do for them?

"Your next question is an easy one. It is so easy; it should be at the tip of your tongue. Do you know what it is?"

"Yes."

"Why don't you enlighten me?"

"My children go around the house saying, "God I hate lawyers" because I trap them into finding answers on their own. Now I walk into a trap made for me by a doctor. The question is, "Sharon, do you love me?"

"Give that man an A+ on his exam paper."

You asked me, "How do you mend a broken heart?" Do you want to take a guess at this one, or do you want me to answer it for you. I'll give you a hint. It is two words, and both of them start with T."

"Time and what else Doctor's?"

"Trust. Do you trust Sharon? Do you think she would ever betray you?"

"No Dolores, I don't think she would ever betray me. Both of us have too much to lose."

"That is a very interesting answer. I don't think I want to go there."

"Your final question was, 'Do I give my heart away again to save her?"

"I'm sorry Fred, but your time is up for this today's session. You will have to mull that question over in your heart, and head, until we meet again. Give me a call if you need me, but please make it during regular business hours. I don't want to charge you triple for another house call. Some of my patients are going to be talking to a very bleary-eyed Doctor today."

"Thank you Dolores, it has been an eye-opening experience. If you need any legal help, you know who to call. I will only charge you double."

"Thank you Fred, take care of your girls. I take it they are a handful."

"Wait until I take those traitors to the gym, later. Their trainer is going to have a field day with them."

After showing Dolores out, he walked into the kitchen to five pair of probing eyes. He said, "You four, get in my office now."

General mumbling could be heard, "We are going to get it now for letting Mrs. Free into his office."

Fred said, "No good deed goes unpunished."

"Thanks dad, I will remember that."

He looked at Sharon, whose hair was a mess, her face was ghostlike, and her eyes were bloodshot. In a harsh tone, he said, 'Madam, you come with me.'

She stood up and followed him, until they reached the stairway. He scooped her up into his arms and said, "Miss Williams, you look like hell. I think will skip the gym this morning so you can get some rest." He kissed her nose, and then her lips. He carried her up the stairs, and into their room. He took off her robe, and lay her down on their bed. He kissed her again, and said, "Go to sleep. I promise I will be here when you wake up. We will talk then. Sleep well, my love."

She didn't say a word. She smiled, closed her eyes, and was asleep by the time her eyelids hit each other."

Now he had one more item to take care of before he could rest, and join her. He thought this should be fun. He undressed, and walked into his office, naked. He looked at his girls, and snarled, "Who is first?"

Sandy asked, "Who is first for what dad?"

"I committed a misdemeanor, and someone yelled, "That's one, dad. I am here to pay up."

Danni smiled and yelled with glee, "That was me, dad. I go first."

Debbie asked, "How are we going to divide 4 into 10."

"I'm going first, so I'm getting 3. I don't care about the rest of you. Bend over, dad; I'm starting your punishment, now."

"If you think I am going to stay bent over, while you girls squabble over who is going to hit me how many times, you are insane. Figure it out first, and then I will bend over. You have two minutes before I leave."

The girls barely made it, under the time limit.

Danni reared back and hit her father's ass as hard as she could.

A few seconds afterwards, Fred said, "Danni, you can start hitting me, whenever you're ready."

She reared back again, and gave it everything she had. The sound reverberated in the room. Her hand hurt when she pulled it away from Fred's ass.

"Danni, start already, my back is beginning to hurt.

Fred was pissing her off. She looked around his office and picked up his 'Squash' racket. She moved behind him, as he taunted her again.

"Danni, are you ever going to hit me? If not, let Debbie have her turn, and you can go last, as you always do. Now at least you will know why your sisters put you at the end of the line."

"I'm sorry I'm boring you, Dad. I hope you are ready, because here it comes."

He watched her, in the glass of his bookcase, as she took a mighty, two-handed, backswing. As she started her forward motion, he took a step forward, and tucked in his hips.

The racket missed his ass by millimeters, but the centrifugal force pulled Danni around, and she fell on her ass, screaming invectives at her father for cheating.

Fred picked up the racket, smiled at his youngest daughter, and asked, "Danni, what is this?"

"It's a 'Squash' racket."

"What were you supposed to hit me with?"

"My hand."

"You cheated?"

"So did you."

"No, I protected myself from a cheater. One misdemeanor, my tiny daughter; and learn how to control your mouth, so it does not become two. Actually, it should be more than a dozen, because of your initial outburst when you missed me. I have forgiven you for that crime, but you must learn from your errors. Don't do this again; or maybe I will use this on you."
