The Wanderer.
Think I agree with TrainerOfBimbos. Still ,it was an interesting story. cd
The ending left a sour taste in my mouth. His wife lied to him and kept secrets from him, yet she runs off for a family vacation and puts him in the dog house. He didn't trust her... but she made herself untrustworthy. I think you were trying to make this funny, but you kind of fluffed the ending.
Hmm, what about the kiss? And why lie about the key? And if she is teaching English, shouldn't she have books at home or papers to be graded or something scholastic laying around? And what about the damn kiss? And, maybe of more importance, what is happening behind the wall of the college, hmmm?
The Wanderer knows.
I do like a good parody of a familiar meme. However, if we are being honest, she is making far too much of it. They were her secrets and she should at least see the humor in it.
I liked it, I really did. When you catch someone in a lie. You want to know why. Negative thoughts will always enter your mind first. I'm happy it ended with her not cheating. If she loves him, she'll be back.

Nope….NOPE.
She caused all the trouble with her lies. So…it was for a gift; she should understand her own husband’s feelings and reactions! Instead she takes the selfish way. NOPE
I did like the story; just not the ending.
