God it's heart breaking, so much pain all around, and you have written it so well. Damn good writing. Even though it's hard to read I can't stop and I'm feeling all the pain the characters are feeling. I'll move on to the next chapter and see what more befalls these characters.

Why

Why worry about her? She didn't care enough about him not to cheat on him. Even though they didn't fuck, it's still cheating if it can't pass the spouse test. (If you wouldn't do it in front of your spouse, then it's cheating.)

Tragic

God, was she stupid and pushed on by the shithead Irving, Very well written but does need editing. The line," she drove away, dragging our dreams behind her", is really poignant! 5*s.

Glad Dalton is a real man.

Beautiful suite.5⭐

you convey the feelings well.

Even without penetration, she lied, cheated, and didn't trust her husband enough by being afraid of his judgment.

On the other hand, she takes all the responsibility.

Thank you for sharing.

Dalton is way too nice! Why is it that the only person in the story with balls is the villain?

Well, The tale was good. However, I feel a reconcilliation coming on. What the fuck. Oh well.

Time to quit reading. He is pervert but she isn't?!!! Both engaged in same act. Bawl some more and ask if you can watch and lick out the cream. jtwheels

Honestly this story works better as a reconciliation. She was scratching a kink itch and was terrified her husband would think she was a skank. Yeah it went way too far she should have told him. Still this isn't exactly a love affair. I would love to see this story handled differently where the husband's heart was softened. -starsong1977

Bel is a whore. No woman that is engaged should have dinner with another man. Hope to see that slut get some payback in the next chapter.

I hope the new development isn't that she's pregnant. That cliche is too common. Let's see....

All the commenters shouting weakness and such because the MC Dalton feels sadness at his loss act like they've never lost a loved one. The intensity of the grief when losing a spouse to infidelity is no less than that when a loved one dies. All the bravado is so misplaced and misguided. Normal humans don't turn love on and off like a light. Pathetic. Thanks for an engaging fictional tale. John

re btrying and the sense of loss due to infidelity.

At 17 I lost my Dad. He went to work one day and at 10:00 am they carried him out to the morgue. I was beside myself with shock and grief.

At 18 my girlfriend who had helped me through the bad days after my Dad's death broke up with me. I was again grief stricken But this loss was worse than losing my Dad. Why?

My Dad was dead. He was never coming back. I would never bump into him on the street. I would never get a phone call from him asking to reconcile. I would never see him again. I could never dream of him coming back. All of these things I could not do to ease the loss of my Dad, I tortured myself with in the vain hope I might just even see or hear my girlfriend. Death is final. Breaking up is not.

However, through those 2 incidents I did learn to switch love off like a light. Or more correctly, I realized love is a two way street between two people. If one end disappears, everything flows out that vacant end. What you are left with are fears, uncertainty, memories, broken dreams and unfulfilled hopes. All the good things you shared are now just memories. Its your choice whether they become painful memories, or another valuable learning experience.

You are an excellent storyteller and up to this point it is very well-written with one glaring exception: the scene leading up to and including the arrest. That sucks like February. The law-enforcement agency assigns two officers plus one sergeant, plus a DA to write a warrant, to arrest two people screwing? And lead them away in handcuffs? Ridiculous. The chief will get laughed out of office. And imagine it ever going to trial. Bias and interest (i.e. any possible inclination of a witness to favor or oppose one side or the other) is almost always admissible. "Officer are you now or have you ever been in an adulterous relationship? Are other officers on your force in such relationships and do you intend to participate in their arrests? Does your wife engage in such activities or does she fantasize about it?" The judge might disallow some of these questions but he cannot prevent the lawyer from asking. Or the audience from laughing. Or the press from reporting. If you republish, have Dalton and Jack set them up to get caught and photographed in a park, B & D club or one of their houses. Or something. Just not an arrest. Other than that and in spite of that, top scores all around.

I'm getting too old for cliff hangers, lol, so I guess I'll just have to read the next chapter. Liked the story, lots of heartache and tears on both sides so far. I think some people just need to chill about the legality of what happened, after all it is fiction, right?

Seems so 1950s, the MC is square beyond belief. It's 2023, morality and actions are not defined by religious tenets. Of course the wife can't talk to the husband about sexually deviant stuff. It's idiotic to expect otherwise. If your husband is 1950s he's not going to positively react to finding out his wife is 50 shades of grey anymore than most people would, even today, positively respond if their wife brought up scat or watersports. It's not only an embarrassing subject but something that many LW writers and commenters would consider grounds for divorce just by thinking about it.

@ thevikingsailor, you might be right but a quick Google search will provide the facts that the last time it was used in Illinois was in the 1990s. So not as outlandish as you may think. That case btw didn't go to prosecution, but that was never really the point. It was being arrested and put in the papers that was the motivation.

AnonymousAnonymousabout 1 month ago

Where the hell did this 1950s crap come from? The commenter seems to be trying to make a point - and missed by a mile. Enjoying the tale, looking forward to the rest. Thank you.
