We didn’t say much during the drive back to the club. Steven seemed a little quiet, maybe even a little nervous. He pulled up at the service door to let me out.
“I was wondering if you’d like to spend Sunday afternoon with me?” He muttered. “I thought maybe we could go boating on the reservoir if the weather‘s nice.”
His invitation surprised me. I had things I wanted to work on and possibly getting some much-needed sleep was one of them. Still, I didn’t want to say “no”.
“Sure.” I answered. “Boating sounds great.”
I gave Steven my address and we set a time for him to pick me up. It would be my first social date in a long time, although sex wasn’t out of the question on my part!
