Ogres and Ogresses Ch. 16

"What needs?" Kail asked vehemenously.

"I'm going to find a partner worthy of his attentions," Zyra quipped quickly giving Kail a comforting squeeze.

He didn't relax at all.

"Why did they call you for such a menial task?" he snarled. "The witches have always serviced the needs of the Monokeros. Or they have found lusty humans willing to do so."

"I have refined tastes."

"I wasn't speaking to you!" Kail growled.

The Monokeros looked taken back.

"How...how dare you address me in such a..."

"I am an exile," Kail snapped. "To me you are nothing more than a sniveling brat, Monokeros or no. You have no power over me."

The Monokeros didn't seem sure of what to do. Lashing a hand out he had his magic pull Zyra from his arms and into his own. Zyra's eyes widened as his chin planted in her shoulder.

"I have control over my keromedio. If she is your owner then so am I!"

He gave Kail a belittling smile.

"Why bite the hand that feeds you?"

"Stop it right now!" Zyra commanded, pulling herself from the Monokeros grasp.

"You need to behave," she said, poking the Monokeros in the chest.

"I am your senior by..."

"You are an adolescent," she snapped. "You said so yourself. If you want to be treated as an adult then act like one."

"If you k..."

"If I what?" Zyra challenged.

"We already made a deal! We already have stakes! I came here to honor that deal and you're already making problems for me! Just sit down and let me try to save myself damn you! Or you'll go a week without treats!"

Actually that last part was a threat she used for Nima. It had accidentally spilled out into the fray.

With that she grabbed the ogre's arm and pulled him into the hut. The door slammed behind them.

The Monokeros raised an eyebrow.

"Treats? She threatened me with treats?"

He made a small patch of grass and flowers sprout so that he could recline.

"I have never had treats...I suppose I shall behave. What a strange place this world is." __________________________________________________

After Zyra's tirade Kail felt a bit better. He could see the fire in her still burning as she rounded on him.

"Kail, I know you don't like this but as you have seen, the Monokeros is a child. I cannot trust that he will not wander or harm my sisters unless he is watched. I need you to..."

His lips covered hers.

Kail wrapped his arms around her and melted her with his kiss. Her arms inched behind his back and she placed her hands on his shoulders. Feelings that she didn't dare voice clogged her throat and she was suddenly swept with desperation to let them out. When he released her she was surprisingly disappointed.

"What...what was that for?" she asked breathlessly.

He smiled at her lazily, tucking a strand of chopped hair behind her ear.

"You said that you needed me. That was enough."

Her heart did a jump and she pulled away from him.

"Kail..." she said sadly. "I...I..."

"What?" he asked, his face showing concern.

She wasn't sure how to phrase it. Were they together? Was she at fault? Shouldn't she just spit it out?"

"I was pleasured by a basilisk," she said sighing. "I was bitten by him and I yielded to his touch. He helped us find the Monokeros."

She watched as his face went blank.

"Was that your intention?" he asked, devoid of emotion.

"No," she said anxiously. "It wasn't, but I cannot deny that it was pleasurable."

"Are you still a virgin?"

"Yes."

Kail looked at her for a moment longer before letting out a long sigh.

"I would like to fault you," he said unhappily, "but I cannot. It would be naïve of me think that you would fail to be attracted to others, when all your life you were enclosed in your Amazonian mecca of virginal purity."

She blinked in confusion.

"Ama...amazonian?"

"It is said they were the first all female tribe," he said lightly, taking a seat on a stool. "They were a strong band of warriors that are said to have been stronger than men."

"You believe we are Amazonian?"

"That was not my original point, but I wouldn't refute it."

Zyra took a seat beside him.

"So, you are not mad?"

"The witches gave you those clothes yes?"

She nodded.

"What purpose did they say they carried?"

"They lied if that is what you are trying to enquire."

He let out a mirthless chuckle.

"Then yes I am angry, but not at you."

She wasn't sure what to say after. She thought back to how she had reacted when she had caught him and Ginger. Zyra hadn't intended it to happen, but hadn't she wanted it?

"Kail you don't understand," she said angrily. "You should he angry at me. The witches did use me, but I allowed it. I was asked whether or not I wanted the pleasure from the basilisk and I didn't protest. I allowed it Kail!"

He gave her a small grin. "Are you trying to make me jealous?"

She scoffed and hit him. He only laughed and they lapsed back into silence.

"...if you want," she whispered. "I...I will lift the ban on you," she said softly.

She stared at the ground as she said the bitter words.

"I'm not sure what it is we have, but I feel I might have broken it somehow. I don't want you to feel like a servant to me when I want my own freedom as well. If it would make things better...if things would be clearer once you have your choice of females..."

He pressed a finger to her lips.

"I have already made my choice," he said gently. "Any other female would be a consolation, to the real prize."

He smiled as he traced her lips, lust growing in the golden pools of his eyes.

"My only wish is to prove myself worthy."

"Then...prove it," Zyra said breathlessly.

Her blood began to sing as she thought of the warmth that touch brought. Admitting that she did want pleasure from Scallen had showed her the rewards that honesty could bring. Maybe her visit with Scallen had been good for her. She had finally made up her mind.

Kail looked at her in confusion and she stood up and put her arms around him.

She felt him stiffen, and then he lifted her chin up to fully look at him. His face was a mixture of shock and disbelief.

"Zyra, are you saying..."

"I'm tired of living my life like it's not mine," she said forcefully.

"Everyone wants something from me, some people want to use me. Everyone has their own agenda."

She took his hand and placed it on the small of her back. Zyra felt the corners of her mouth lift and felt herself smirking, a gesture that had always been directed at her.

"Well, don't you think it's time I get an agenda of my own?"

Kail's loose grip tightened and he pulled her onto his lap. His wide eyes narrowed as he gazed at her prone unresisting form.

"Finally."

She wrapped her legs around him as he devoured her mouth with frenzied kisses. Her body sang as she finally pressed against the rock hard planes of the body that had haunted her dreams.

Lifting back he pulled off his shirt, his arms rippling with strength as she ached to lick every inch that had evaded her. She reached back to pull her shirt off when they heard two loud knocks on the door.

They froze.

"Zyra?"

It was the Monokeros.

"Ignore it," Kail hissed.

Zyra stared at the door.

He knocked three more times.

"Zyra?" he whined. "It's cold out here...it's dark...I wish to go now..."

"Zyra ignore it. Please!" Kail said desperately.

Zyra let out a heavy sigh and reluctantly pulled away from Kail.

"Duty calls."

"Zyra? I'm tired...I want to go—"

"I'm coming, I'm coming!" she huffed.

Kail was muttering under his breath in a strange language. She didn't understand it, but she was sure whatever he was saying was riddled with curse words.

"Do not bring him in here," Kail said darkly.

"I know what you asked and I respect that, but if he comes in here I might just kill him."

Looking into his eyes she knew he wasn't joking.

"Alright," she said opening the door.

The Monokeros had made a skirt of sorts out of flowers and vines. His vital parts were covered and he shivered.

"Why didn't you cover your whole body?" she asked raising an eyebrow.

His eyes widened.

"I, I didn't think upon it." He pursed his lips and gave her a mean but saddened look.

"Zyra you treat me ill as a Monokeros, or any creature. If this is the friend you spoke of, allow me through."

Zyra felt pity on him and took one of Kail's blankets and wrapped it around the shivering boy's shoulders.

"I'm sorry," she said sincerely. "Clear up that patch of flowers. I'm on my way."

He went off to obey her and she looked at Kail and gave him a smile.

"Hey."

He looked in her direction remorsefully.

"Don't look so disheartened," she said grinning. "There's always tomorrow."

His face gained back some of it's vigor.

"Tomorrow?"

"Tomorrow."

"You won't change your mind?"

She laughed and smirked at him, letting lust shine in her eyes.

"If I change my mind...change it back."

Then she winked at him and took the Monokeros to her village.

She made him sit by the lake's edge and went to her tent to fetch her travelling tent. She embraced Ginger on the way and told her of her plan. Ginger was happy to oblige. Walking quickly she and Ginger went to the lake and pitched the tent. The Monokeros watched curiously as Ginger smiled at him.

"Is this your friend?" he asked.

"No more questions," Zyra said letting out a yawn.

With the tent pitched Ginger ran back.

Zyra ushered that the Monokeros join her inside it and she sealed the flap. She lit a lantern and showed him how to lie down among the furs.

"Sleep," she said warmly. "Tomorrow is a big day."

She blew out the lantern and lay down herself. The Monokeros shifted until it lay against her and it put and arm around her. The gesture was relatively innocent and reminded her of her niece, so she relaxed.

"KeroZyra," he mumbled in her ear. "I may be immature," he said lightly. "But I am still a monokeros. I haven't forgotten your promise, and I will hold you to it."

"I know," she said sighing. "I know."

Yikes, there is just something about trees landing on your house that just harshes your creative mellow.

Sorry for the delay guys, hope you aren't too disheartened. Unforunately(and fortunately) I'm a New Yorker, so I got caught by Miss Sandy.

Luckily my family and I are luckier than most and still have houses. I wish everyone affected all the lucky in the world and if you want to PM me about places where you can get help in the Long Island area, I'd love to let you know.

Okay so onto the story. See? There was a reason for the Used chapter. Zyra had now gained a sense of sexual adventure thanks to a venom induced euphoria. Yay drugs! (Don't do drugs kids.-.- Unless you already do. Then don't start drugs because of my chapter.)

I am not tickled pink and laughing maniacally as I know what happens next and know you can't.
