There was a garish lipstick kiss on the card as well in the lower corner. I smiled and set the card back in the flower arrangement. Sunstroke eh? Well, I suppose trying to explain devastating feedback caused by magical powers might be a little difficult. I lay back in the bed as my head swam and everything was slightly blurry. I wondered if they had me on painkillers, something that was making everything fuzzy and wonderful. There was an IV drip on the other side of the bed and it ran to my arm. I followed the tubing from my arm upwards till I got to the spot where the drip chamber. I watched a fat clear drop fall from the IV bag into the drip chamber wetly. I thought of Brookesbend and closed my eyes again. I could feel the fluid dripping, slowly, drip.... drip.....drip....

Just a heads up. I took a little time off this summer for health reasons and also because... well... it's summer and I didn't want to sit at my computer. But I wanted to let you know to stay tuned. Chapter 13 has been submitted and should be approved any day now.
