William slid Melanie's shoes onto her feet before picking her up and carrying her over to his motorcycle. He sat her down on the seat and climbed on in front of her, his hands finding hers and pulling her tightly to him. She rested against his back, feeling the hard muscles shift against her cheek as William started the engine and turned the bike toward the road.
As they pulled off onto the highway, Melanie clung to him with every ounce of strength she had left, knowing she didn't have much. That knowledge was what was making William drive at an almost reckless speed.
That, and it was almost dawn.

Do love this story - it's developing really nicely. I like how you are taking it pretty slowly - letting the story build, and also the different kinds of relationship you have going with the 3 couples - they are all very different types of people and that definitely makes for a varied read.
