Trey collapsed on top of me, kissing my cheek before rolling over to fit somewhat beside me. The couch was kind of small so he ended up half on me, half next to me.
He grabbed the dark blue fleece throw from the back of the couch and tossed it on our bodies.
Stroking my hair, he kissed my cheek softly.
"I thought you said you weren't coming to the show tonight."
I smiled. "I needed a break from studying."
"I wish you would have told me. I had plans for us after the gig. I was going to decorate the apartment in a nice, romantic way."
"It's okay, Trey. This just romantic enough."
"That's what I love about you. A beautiful girl who likes simple things."
"That's why I'm dating you."
"Shut up. What's this," he asked, pointing to my bandaged wrist.
"A gift. For you. Open it."
Trey moved the bandage slowly, careful not to make the tape sting.
"Oh, babe that's awesome."
"I got it done especially for today."
"I couldn't have asked for a better present. I love it."
"I love you," I said, kissing him softly. "Always."
I uncovered the tattoo, a melody of musical notes from our favorite song, the writing underneath saying 'C and T'.
"I love you too, Cordie. Happy anniversary."

Comentarista82over 8 years agoLove how you wrote this, as if Cordie didn't know him. I thought it was a hot consensual encounter and maybe she'd punched out some skank at some point before the story. Really nice misdirection, although since she knew him, why ask him to wear?
So well portrayed, from the biting comments about the skanks to the belting out of the song. Very sensual and evocative--along with the sex. Well done! 5*
