I'm giving this five stars because I read the entire story, and it should be judged as a whole rather than by the chapters.
One of the best!
This is brilliant, well written and thoughtful. I am completely hooked on the storyline. Finally, a writer who takes the time to build characters, context, and makes me want to read more. After reading many sub average stories I cannot say enough praise! Great job.
promise everyone she'd learnt her lesson and would never cheat again?
Every so often I re-read all the stories this author has posted and say a little prayer that someday he will again start writing and posting new stories. I realize he is probably a rather busy attorney, but it would be grate if he would even post one story a year.

I would pay to read this author's stuff and I found a couple of his e-books on amazon. thanks for the stories!
Wow, that was intense. The gut wrenching aspect of knowing something is wrong in your heart and the ability to deduce it all was so believable. God i hate cheaters. They make you doubt everything.
Wow, Nina was a real cunt.
Having him babysit her kids so she can go on a date to decide if she wants to dump him. What an evil bitch...
He saw it coming, didn't even fight for her. His next marriage is going to go the same way.
Great story with excellent plot. Very well written and hard to put down. Loved it.
First I’m brenda and my man is Steve. But we are great. It took a lot to get here. My first husband did exactly this. I unknowingly was babysitting the kids of the woman he was seeing, tried to convince me for urs after the divorce that I met her and made this arrangement forcing him into her arms. Wtf ever! He ever told me she worked with him and he had known her all along. I hate people like this! At least be up front with your douchbaggary! Great story, just Wish it wasn’t so familiar
Very well written start. if as usual, good things are coming. Looking forward to the next chapters.
First, to address an earlier Anon. comment, there’s no point in fighting for a woman who has already decided to leave you. You’re just pissing in the wind. Let her go. Second, I can’t wait to get into the next chapter because this is shaping up to be a very good story.
All women are stupid. As girls they start out smart but lose some brain cells every month on their period. By the time they are 30 I don't think most could chew gum and walk at the same time. That's why they think they can get away with being a lying, cheating slut. Have to keep trading them in for younger ones.
But I hope to damn he has some sort of a relationship with the two daughters. If not , That , I think would be the worse than the divorce itself.
Are an enigma clothed in contradiction, that looks suspiciously like an oxymoron.
The idiot marries a woman with two small daughters that cheated in the former husband with a work coleage. Much stupid, but feaseable. There are a lot of stupids in the world
Very original and very powerful. I can see it happening just as described. That story could keep a fellow awake at night.
I just reread this one and it's hard to feel much sympathy for Tim.
When they first met, Tim was 26 and owned a successful business. Nina was a 30-year-old divorcee with two spoilt kids and a history of infidelity.
What the fuck was he thinking marrying her?
Plot too obvious and unoriginal
We have all read this one before... why write it again
Tim was a mug to even get involved with a women like her. Why would a young successful guy take on this crock of crap? It was always going to be a difficult relationship at the very least with her kids.
NEVER marry a woman that cheated on her Ex!!! Tim was stupid to marry a cheater with two kids. The kids never truly loved or respected him.
A recent commentator stated "Plot too obvious and unoriginal." I disagree. I have read a few stories and this one struck me as presenting a new twist, and one without the typical cliche-ridden crap normally found even in the best of stories.
So, a 5* from here.
but it had long not necessary pieces. I dont care how he handles the staff at the bar as an example. Paragraphs of that.
When I was in College I worked for awhile at a steakhouse .. This Story reminds Me of that
That what you get when you marry a divorced mother who cheated on her husband
I wish DQS would study your stories and learn how to trim out the fat--the unnecessary subplots, overwrought introspections, and the retelling of events from too many perspectives. You're right about DQS; his fluid writing talents get in his way, and, I'd add, he loves his own writing too much for his own good.
You do a wonderful job of getting to the point and moving on with the story. I disagree with a previous commentor; you're distriscriptions of the inter workings of Tim's restaurant and the characters is brilliantaly done. Thank you- Bill
Apologies for being anal. Of Palmers girls, three were British and one a Yank. I am proud of our ladies as you should be of Kelly. Brilliant video, a young lads fantasy
I was expecting some fooling around but this is interesting none the less.
Damm thats some drama and twisted shit right there. That woman is one messed up hormonal bitch.
Women, can't live with and kill 'em! Been there done that folks 'cept my ex wanted to go out and screw around but asked if it didn't work out could she come back? Can you believe that? True! Good story, second time
Wish these stories weren't so fucking predictable. It's obvious that Tim will end up deliriously happy with Nicole at the end of the story. Would be nice if the writers came up with more twists and turns. I'd be happy to be wrong but there is no other character of Tim's age.
OH. MY. GOSH!!!! This is a GREAT 1st chapter. An original way to start an old, familiar trope/story. The raw emotion you put in to the last part, where Tim figures it all out, was heart wrenching. Looking forward to the finishing all the chapters of this story. The remaining chapters have a lot to live up to. Thanks for the Great read. 👍👍👍👍

Few things the MC did wrong. Firstly never raise someone else's kids cos your just some beta idiot being used for handling bills, taking care of brats and giving the bitch a easier life. Secondly and most important, once a slut always a slut, don't ever believe the I changed it was a mistake bullshit.
Two things, women, can't live with them and you can't kill them. My first wife took my two kids but my second wife brought four with her forty years later we are still a family, great story
Great storlyine
Excellent culmary tips
Thank you,
Another "Grant" - this one in Canada
Yes, the second story of yours I've read - at least, so far.
I'm hooked: good story line, the characters are believable, and it is well written. That's why I'm hooked. Hope it continues.
Thanks, 5*.
Wow, that was a great deduction made by the husband seeing through it all. Great so far!
Not bad, it only took about 8,000 words to find out what the story was about! In the meanwhile though we learned a lot about cooking, cooking utensils, and running a restaurant. In fact it looks like before we really knew about his cheating wife, we were introduced to her replacement. Kinda of a snoozer so far. 3*
sorry, but I don't come to an erotic fiction site to read about the perils of sex. Well written but this ws too close to BTB and RAAC for my tastes.
So as one couple reconcile another break up.
Got to say, it was pretty obvious that the relationship wasn't going to last. Who on their right mind would have married someone that clearly thought that way about their ex and that relationship?
There was no way that such a relationship could have lasted, it was bound to end in cheating.
This is not even a cautionary tale about allowing partners to retain good relationships with their ex's, it's a cautionary tale about having a relationship with someone that still lives another.
Everything is on Tim. He had all the evidence from day one and just ignored it.
Once a cheat always a cheat and marrying single moms is something you might do in your late 30s and above not in your 20s thats only for low value men.
Once I read that SHE cheated on her ex.....HELLO red flag. EVACUATE! RUN! GET THE F OUT NOW! Nope, not sticking around for that kind of crazy. Once a cheater, ALWAYS a cheater. Some people just have to learn that the hard way....the MC just did.
Its a tough situation for everyone. I know people that have made the choice ton come back and I get it. But why be a devious bitch about it?. If you gonna stab someone at least have the courage and decency to stab them up front. Besides I hate fucking drama w/o reason. He'll be better of with out her.
Interesting intriguing tale. Well written. So far, for this segment, four stars. Looking forward to the continuations.
JPB NOT BOB
She's utterly lacking in self-reflection and openness; will undoubtedly cheat on Steve again in a few years.
Good start, background set, prime characters introduced and plot developed. Hey- I read all nine chapters of Knox straight through! Nothing a few Venn diagrams couldn't keep straight with that bunch.
