Click hereOur first was born a few weeks before Christmas; the second was born 20 minutes later. What a joyous gift with which to celebrate the season.
We have turned the farm over to the twin boys, they are married and have expanded the house to include both families and Rebekah and myself.
We have given beyond what was expected of us and have received many times back in return.
Our God has blessed us with 14 children, 5 grandchildren so far and a prosperous life. Our love grows each day.
Rebekah's punishment was to work 6 months for 5 hours a day at the school helping the lesser skilled children to understand their lessons. She still does it to this day.
Her Grandmother needed to be removed from the community; it was her stirring the pot that exacerbated the situation.
Excellent story! His arguments should have led to the downfall of the practice.
Well written but I found the subject matter offensive to me. That being said I fully realize that opinion will not be shared by everyone. I find it distasteful that they would continue a practice that according to the story ruined many lives. I'm not a fan of blood sacrifices of any kind and sometimes wonder if reincarnation could explain why. Perhaps I was a sacrifice in a past life or knew someone who was? In any case I gave this story five stars for the writing but could not favorite it. This author is one of my favorite authors and just because I couldn't favorite this story don't let that stop anyone from reading his work as they would be doing themselves a great disservice if they did.
Sorry...14 children weren't punishmente enough for her...At least 20...
