"Well, I have to compliment your mom when I see her, Chuck. She did a splendid job with you," replied Janice with a big smile.

"Mom would like you, Janice. She never really hit it off with Bridget," I admitted. "She thinks Bridget is snobby bitch."

"What ever gave her that idea?" chuckled Janice.

As Friday evening approached and Janice prepared to return home, I felt uneasy. I realized I was going to miss her companionship, as well as the really good sex.

"I hate to let you go, Janice," I told her honestly. "The past two weeks have been a genuine pleasure for me. It made the difference in my accepting that Bridget was sleeping with Roger. Now it doesn't seem so bad. In fact, I'd trade him any time!"

"Chuck! What a nice thing to say! My self esteem has had a real boost with you. I feel so much more comfortable with who I am, and what I look like. You've been great for my ego and confidence," said Janice. "I may not have any right to ask you this, but I will anyway. Will you remain faithful to me, except for Bridget of course?"

"That won't be difficult," I laughed. "I don't have any girl friends or lovers, except you, Janice. I can safely promise you that I'll be completely faithful to you, with the possible exception of Bridget. It's difficult to tell how well she and I will get along after two weeks with The Cock and Roger."

"Good, Chuck! My pussy is yours and I don't want to share you with other women. I know that Bridget has first dibs, but I get everything else, okay? I can hardly wait for the two weeks with Roger to pass so we can trade back," Janice revealed. "I just wish I had caught him cheating years ago if this was going to be the result."

With that last comment by Janice, the door swung open and Bridget and Roger walked in. I was again surprised at how little rancor I held. Being with Janice had really taken the edge off my anger at them.

"Here's your wife, Tiny," growled Roger. "I'm bringing her back well laid and with a pussy full of my cum. She'll probably tighten back up enough for her to feel your little pecker in a few days. It'll take that long for the smile to leave her face."

I looked at Bridget and couldn't detect any smile. In fact, she seemed irritated by his crass conduct. She grimaced, turned and headed for our bedroom.

"Come on, Janice. You must be desperate for my pussy pleaser by now," Roger continued. "Let's get home and take care of your needs."

Janice gave me a grim smile as she picked up her bag and headed for the door. I quickly stepped up and took the bag from her hand. I had expected Roger to carry it for her, but it became apparent that thought never crossed his mind.

"What the hell are you doing?" demanded Roger. "She's going with me."

"I know that, Roger, but she has a heavy bag and I'll carry it for her. That's only polite," I added.

"Give me the goddamn thing," snarled Roger. "It's her fucking bag but I'll carry it. I don't want you following her around."

I handed the bag to Roger and watched the two of them walk up the street to their place. I never really noticed what a bastard Roger was before. He took every opportunity to not only brag about his dick, but to insult and belittle me. It occurred to me that he was insecure and his bravado was all a façade. That his barbs had no obvious effect on me appeared to irritate him.

As I watched Janice walk away with Roger, I experienced pangs of jealousy. I realized that I didn't want him to be with her, even for two weeks. It bothered me far less to have Bridget sleeping with the pompous bastard. What did that mean? Where was all this headed?

Bridget was reading a book when I entered the bedroom a couple hours later. She looked up and gave me a weak smile.

"I'm pretty tired tonight, Chuck. Let's just go to sleep and we can talk tomorrow. I might feel like having sex by then as well," she allowed.

I couldn't help but compare her to Janice. She was controlling, and plain miserable to me. Was it just me, or was she simply a miserable bitch? Maybe she was nice to everyone else. Roger seemed to think she was just peachy.

I didn't even bother with a response. I went into the bathroom to do all the things I always do before going to bed. I returned to the bedroom, slipped into bed with my back to Bridget and fell asleep in a matter of minutes.

It was two nights later that Janice knocked on my kitchen door shortly after I got home from work. She appeared upset and I was concerned for her as I helped her into a chair. She put her hands on the table and traced her fingers along the grains in the oak table. I waited for her to speak.

"Roger told me that he wanted a divorce when he got home this evening, Chuck," sobbed Janice. "I don't really feel bad about getting away from him. It's just that I'm worried about what I'll do. I've never really been on my own,"

"I'm sorry to see you so upset, Janice. I can't say that I feel badly about you getting away from that asshole," I admitted. "You can do a lot better. Was he angry with you for spending the two weeks with me?"

"That's the strange thing, Chuck. He didn't treat me as poorly as I feared he might. He told me that he since he had found someone else to love, that he was going to divorce me, even if it cost him half of everything he owned," recalled Janice. "He had it all figured out and on spreadsheets. I'll get the house and he'll pay me for my share of the business and we divvy up any other assets."

"That's very fair, wouldn't you say, Chuck?" interrupted Bridget from the dining room doorway. "Old Roger's in love? That's so sweet. Chuck, I think we should do the same thing. I'll give Sam Jenkins all our information and have him draw up an equal settlement for us. We won't argue or contest anything. We'll be divorced before you know it. Then you can console poor little Janice while Roger and I are having the times of our lives!"

I had been thinking along the same lines, at least about getting a divorce. It had become apparent that Bridget held me in contempt and I didn't feel much better about her. I didn't know if Janice would want me to console her. That was something I'd worry about after the divorce.

"Okay, Bridget. We'll visit the lawyer and tell him we agree on splitting our assets and getting an amicable divorce as quickly as possible," I agreed. "I don't think either of us should see anyone else on the side until we get this all behind us, however. We all have kids that are grown, but we don't want them to think we're weird swingers or something. We certainly don't want to confuse the issue or have jealousy ruin a perfectly good divorce."

"Agreed!" answered Bridget immediately. "Janice, please tell that fucking machine you married, and from whom you'll be soon divorced, that we have decided to cool down the sex until after we're all divorced. It'll speed things up in the long run and make us all happier," smiled Bridget.

"I don't think you understand Roger very well, Bridget," began Janice before she was interrupted by Bridget.

"Oh, I think I do! Roger wants a trophy wife that fits his position in the business world. He wants a hot wife that looks great and fucks like a mink," laughed Bridget.

"Well, maybe you do understand Roger. That's pretty much what he told me tonight," confessed Janice with an odd smile. "I just don't want you guys to allow our divorce to influence you. I can't make any promises about any future relationships after our divorce."

"Don't worry about it, Janice. Chuck will be available if you want him. He hasn't been looking for women, and he isn't likely to begin now. If you don't want him, he'll survive. If you do, just snap your fingers, and he'll be there as soon as I turn him loose," replied Bridget confidently.

"Okay," beamed Janice. "As long as you understand that I didn't suggest or promise anything about any relationship after our divorces. I feel way better now that you guys are getting divorced. I know that sounds awful."

"I can relate. Believe me," nodded Bridget. "We'll start the ball rolling tomorrow. Just tell Roger to be patient."

"I promise, Bridget. You two won't be seeing much of us before the divorces are final," Janice stated as she headed out the door.

The next few months were some of the best in my marriage. I was amazed at how well Bridget and I got along when it came to getting the hell away from each other. We lived in the same house and continued to even sleep in the same bed.

We weren't suddenly shy about getting dressed or undressed. It was like we were brothers, or sisters. Bridget could get undressed, or dressed, in front of me and I'd hardly pay attention. She still had a great body and was very attractive, but I no longer lusted after her and I certainly didn't love her. It just eased any conflict.

We had seen very little of Janice and Roger during that time. I did see a moving van at their place a couple weeks before out divorce was to be final. It reminded me that I had to quickly find a place to live. Bridget was going to keep the house and the furniture. I was only taking a few keepsakes with me.

The next morning, I received a phone call from Janice while I was at work. She sounded happier than I would have guessed she would be under the circumstances. She wanted to meet for lunch and I agreed.

"Chuck, is Bridget getting the house in your divorce?" asked Janice with her usual candor.

"Yes, she is. I have to find someplace soon," I worried. "The divorce will be final in two weeks. It's all gone very well and Bridget has been very fair and cooperative. She's excited about dumping my boring ass and being Roger's trophy wife."

"Roger has moved his personal belongings out of the house and is living in an apartment closer to his headquarters," Janice revealed. "Our divorce will be final next week. Would I be too forward if I told you that you could move your personal belongings, and your boring ass, in with me?"

"You really want me, Janice? I was hoping we could see more of each other but I didn't dare ask you about moving in with you!" I gushed. "I'd love that!"

We spent the rest of the lunch making plans about how and when I'd move into Janice's house. We were laughing and enjoying each other's company. I looked forward to my new life.

Bridget and I had to go to the courthouse to sign some papers to finalize the divorce. I felt great and Bridget was almost giddy. I had taken the few things I wanted to keep and dropped them off at Janice's the prior weekend. When I left the courthouse I was going to meet Janice for a long lunch and a few drinks to celebrate.

As we were walking through the hall toward the exit, we saw Roger. He appeared to be waiting as he kept looking at his watch and then at a nearby door. He was wearing a dark suit and looked pretty good, as much as I hated to admit it.

"Roger!" exclaimed Bridget. "I'm so glad you got my message. I haven't been able to reach you on your cell. I thought I'd have to hunt you down at your office. You look so handsome. Let's go out and celebrate tonight. You can move into my house over the weekend."

"What the fuck are you talking about?" asked Roger blankly. "I can't celebrate with you!"

"Of course you can, Roger. We can be married in a few weeks and go on a nice long honeymoon. We're free to do whatever we want."

"Shit, Bridget. I wouldn't marry a slut like you. Hell, you cheated on Chuck, and he's one of the best men I've ever known. If you cheated on him, it would only be a matter of time before you wiggled your ass for some other guy. I'd have to be a fucking idiot to marry a woman that cheats on her husband."

I was surprised that Roger actually said something nice about me. Bridget was stunned to hear Roger talk to her as he did. It wasn't anything at all like she had planned. Just then a nearby door opened. I saw a young, well dressed woman come out of the ladies room.

"Okay, Roger. I'm ready to get married so you can make an honest woman out of me, and give our baby a last name," she chuckled as she patted her rather pregnant stomach. "I'll be the one to hire your next secretary. You can bet that she'll be way past child-bearing age!"

"I'm sorry, Bridget," Janice said. "Did I forget to mention that Roger got his secretary pregnant...?"

I couldn't help but laugh with Janice at that one.

Hah what a stupid slut. Got what she deserved in the end: left with nothing and no one. Perfect. And the husband that was wronged finds someone that really loves him with no bullshit - a nice bonus.
