Isobel didn't have to say anything. She tried to give Angel an encouraging smile as comfort, but knew that wouldn't do much. She was struggling herself not to cry in front of anyone. She walked up to Angel, and just hugged her tightly. "Come on dick-head, we will see each other again soon...Cullen said so himself," Isobel turned her head and gave a pointed stare at him, "right?" Seeing that Cullen nodded, Isobel turned her attention back to Angel.

Angel tried to smile. She knew that Isobel could visit whenever possible. "Well I suppose you finally get the chance to get your queen size bed that you always wanted ass-wipe." Both girls laughed slightly.

Though all three of the men looked upon them in a confusing way. Owen leaned over to both Cullen and Gavin and asked, "Why are they calling each other names? Are they fighting?"

Cullen just shrugged.

Gavin smiled slightly, "No, this is what they do I suppose. I heard them teasing each other at the hospital as soon as Angel woke the first time. It's their thing they do with one another—besides, this may be easier for them to do than actually saying goodbye" Gavin stated quietly. Both Cullen and Owen nodded their heads at finally understanding.

Angel hugged Isobel one more time. "Be sure to stay out of trouble skank," said Angel one final time.

"You too slut. Actually forget what I just said. Give them hell for the both of us," said Isobel.

"I will," confirmed Angel.

Then you just heard all three men groaning at the thought of what is yet to come.

Angel began to head towards the door. "See Yah!" said Angel, as she waved and gave her sister a small smile. As she turned back toward the three stooges, Angel took a deep breath and started to head outside. Of course Cullen tried to help her, but she shrugged him off.

Cullen watched as Angel smiled slightly at one of the omegas and thanked him for helping her into the SUV. Cullen felt Gavin put his hand on his shoulder, trying to give him support. "Have you spoken with the compound? Is everything going according to plan?" asked Cullen.

Gavin nodded. "Yes. Everything is almost ready for our arrival. Angel's room will now be next to you. You both have those adjoined doors that would lead to one another's room. The security is getting increased even more. And everyone has been told of Angel's arrival. Many of our members are actually excited to finally see their new future mistress. Of course you have a few that are not too excited, but that was to be expected."

"Alright, thank you Gavin. Well, shall we?" Cullen indicated toward the SUVs.

Cullen slid into the back seat with Angel, while Gavin slid into the driver's seat and Owen in the passenger seat.

As they were driving, everyone was silent in the car. Once in a while, Gavin would look in the rear-view mirror to see Angel, but all she was doing was staring out the window. He tried to look over his shoulder at Cullen, trying to urge him to say something to Angel.

Cullen sighed, and looked over at Angel. "Angel, I know what you must be feeling..."

Angel shot Cullen the death glare...

"Ok, maybe I don't know exactly what you are feeling, but I can just imagine. But I think you will like it at the compound. It is very beautiful there, and there will be many people for you to interact with and get to know," Cullen tried to tell her.

"Are any of those people the sluts you fucked?" asked Angel in a very snippy tone.

All you were able to hear was Owen choking on the water he was drinking when Angel made that remark.

Cullen knew that sooner or later she would need to know the truth. "Angel, you will soon learn the way of how the pack is run. You will see many people having intercourse right there in the great room while everyone is around. Sex is a very open thing for wolves."

"You never answered my questions Cullen...," stated Angel firmly.

Cullen sighed again. "Yes Angel. There were a few that I had a sexual relationship with, but nothing more. But what we will have between us would mean something much more."

"Oh, I'm sorry...between us? Think again Cullen," said Angel.

Cullen was about to lose his temper at that, but when Gavin cleared his throat in warning, Cullen took a deep breath.

Soon, Angel started to fall asleep during the long car ride. Cullen saw her falling asleep and slowly moved over towards her, pulling her onto his lap. At first, he thought that she would protest, but it seems that Angel didn't get much sleep after his visit last night.

Angel unknowingly, cuddled closer to Cullen. He just felt so warm and secure—something she hasn't felt for a long time. And the scent itself was something to really tempt Angel. She knew right away it was Cullen that was holding her, but at this moment, she couldn't care less. It just felt right. She decided that she would give him hell after she took a nap.

Sometime later, when they finally arrived at the compound, Cullen gently shook Angel. "Wake up sweetie," Cullen said calmly as he continued, "We are here."

This seemed to wake Angel up faster than anything before. As soon as she opened her eyes, she looked around. They were completely surrounded by trees. And when she saw the house, she was completely shocked at the size of it. It was a beyond huge log cabin mansion. Angel supposed she was staring open mouthed at it for some time, when she felt Cullen place a gentle kiss on her cheek.

"Come on sweetie, lets get you unpacked and settled in," Cullen said, as he helped her out of the car.

As Gavin, Owen and the rest of the omegas helped carry her belongings into the house; Angel couldn't help but walk very slowly. Of course she wasn't quite sure how to react moving into a place full of werewolves. Angel was able to see in the distance a beautiful garden that had a small area where she would be able to sit on a bench near the pond. The flowers there were blooming so exquisitely. She knew that is one place she would need to visit very soon.

Angel was just about to enter the place, so she took a deep breath, and put up a wall around her feelings. There was no way that she was going to show any weakness to anyone. When they all stepped in, Angel was just simply shocked at the décor. It seemed like the whole house was completely lavished in expensive taste, and yet the area felt very cozy and inviting. Angel tried to keep up with everyone, but she kept on getting distracted at many different things that caught her attention. First it was to all the people that were just sitting around in what would be called the great room—of course all were staring at her. Then her attention was drawn to the couples that were not afraid at being exhibitionist.

Cullen was enjoying very much all the emotions playing on Angel's face. He couldn't help but see what she was looking at and just smiled. "That is something you will get used to Angel. Among the pack, we are very open about such things."

Angel just nodded. What else could she say to that? After a few minutes, Angel wondered if they were ever going to stop walking. She caught up with Cullen, and grabbed a hold of his arm gently, "Cullen, how much longer? Don't tell me you all got lost in your very own home," asked Angel.

Cullen smiled sweetly at Angel. "No, we are not lost. Your room is actually just around the corner. Only yours and mine bedrooms are on this side of the wing," Cullen stated. He was able to tell Angel was struggling to hold her composure. He knew her ribs must be killing her by now. He leaned over, so that only Angel would hear, "Do you want me to carry you, so your ribs wouldn't hurt you that much?"

Angel looked at Cullen as if he grown a second head. "Do you want me to just slap you now or later Cullen for asking such a ridiculous question?" There was no way in hell she was going to be seen as weak. Angel lifted her chin in the air, and carried on walking in front of Cullen now—wishing that Gavin would walk faster!

Finally, Angel entered what would now be her bedroom. The room was huge! It was probably even bigger than her living, dining room and kitchen combined! But the bed did look unbelievably soft. It was just one of those beds that were made to jump into and pass out on first contact. She will have to wait, till she was able to do that. Angel quickly walked across the room to the large 16-ft floor to ceiling windows that overlooked the most beautiful view ever. She was able to see the garden with the pond, the open field that had many wild-flowers blossoming, and beyond that was the forest. In the distance, she was also able to just barely see glimpse of the rolling hills. She just couldn't wait till she was able to start walking those trails and 'exploring' the new area.

Angel always considered herself an adventurer. Whenever she would go to the forest preserve, she would never stay on the cemented pathway, but rather go off the path, and just walk through the unmarked forest. She really did miss being able to do that with school and work taking up most of her time, but now she was really looking forward to it! Angel turned around in time to see many of the omegas beginning to open the suitcases. She walked to them, "Please don't worry about that. I can manage from here, thank you."

It was clear to them, that they didn't know how to respond to that. They looked at Cullen to see if they were dismissed or if they should carry on.

"Angel, just let them do their jobs..." Cullen tried to say, while he folded his arms in front of him.

"No Cullen. I can manage unpacking myself. There is no way that I could ask someone else to do that for me," stated Angel firmly.

There were a few worried stares from the omegas going back and forth to Angel and then to Cullen. Most of them were shocked that anyone would disregard their Alpha's bidding.

But Cullen didn't want to stress Angel out even more than she was, seeing how uncomfortable she was. Cullen turned toward the omegas and dismissed them. They left quietly, and shut the door behind them. Once they were alone, Cullen had to remind Angel over a few things.

"First things first Angel. Take a seat before you tire yourself out even more." Cullen waited till Angel sat on the bed before he continued. "Secondly, now that you are here, there has to be a few small changes with the way you speak to me. You cannot just disagree with everything I say. I am the Alpha here, and should be respected at all times—especially in front of my pack members. Thirdly, at dinner, I will formally introduce you to the whole pack as the packs future mistress. As you know, there will be a few females that won't like you being here. But you need to take it in stride, and never cower down to them. You are going to be the future alpha bitch here. But please, don't start fights. You know you are not up to it yet, and even once you are healed, I don't want to see you getting into..."

"WHOA," interrupted Angel. "Why are you still jumping to the conclusion that I will be the 'alpha bitch'? Who said anything about me staying here that long? Also, you need to get off your high horse. If you want respect, you better earn it," stated Angel firmly.

"...and that's the other thing I need to warn you Angel about. NO... MORE... INTERRUPTIONS. I don't know how much clearer I have to be about that specific fact. Enough is enough. And we will see about how long you truly are going to stay here," challenged Cullen. Did she really think she was going to leave once she was out of danger? I will never let her go. Cullen left the room with that. As he closed the door behind him, he had to let out a long sigh, there was much to do before dinner, and there was only a little time left.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Done," Angel muttered to herself. She managed to unpack everything, and put it all in it's' place. She just shook her head at all the closet space she had left. In her own closet back at home, things were so packed in, but now seeing her clothes in this closet made it seem as if she owned practically nothing. Angel shrugged her shoulders. She wouldn't be staying here forever—it wasn't even possible. She wouldn't allow herself to stay with someone that she didn't trust and who didn't trust her in return.

Knock Knock...

Angel turned her head toward the door. She was debating rather or not to answer it—thinking it might be Cullen. But then again, he would have just barged right in. So Angel, got up, and answered the door. She never expected to see an older lady with a genuinely kind expression on her face entered the room. She was fairly short and rotund, and her voice was pleasant and reassuring and the added soft touch of a Scottish burr to it made it even more pleasing.

"Good day, milady. My name is Glynis," she introduced herself. "The Alpha asked me to come see to your needs of getting ready for dinner."

Still somewhat in shock, Angel did not argue when Glynis led her across the bedroom to the very opulent bathroom. It was a large room that was surprisingly bright, with large arch-shaped windows. There was actually a fire burning in braziers made the air warm and inviting against the cool afternoon breeze.

"Sorry, milady, about the mess around the place. We were not expecting you so suddenly, and when we found out this very morning, that Cullen left to bring you back," Glynis was explaining with a smile on her face, "you should have seen us all running around here as if our heads were cut off. I should warn you, that practically everyday outside near the northern part of this estate, Cullen has most of the male pack members practice fighting. So it may be wise to stay clear of that area, so you won't get hurt.

Angel was given the privacy of showering fast, but once she was done, she couldn't help but slightly bite her lower lip. When she took the shower, she had to unbind the wrappings around her ribs—which made a huge difference. Before her sister used to help her with that, but now that she isn't around, perhaps Glynis wouldn't mind helping?

Angel looked embarrassed, but realized her requests were necessary. She could do neither without help. "First, well, I am sure you not only heard what happened to me, but most likely saw the state of my side with all the bruising," Angel looked down before continuing, "I was actually wondering if you could help me with two requests. The first request is if you could bind my ribs again before I dress."

"Certainly, milady." A few minutes later, Glynis began to deftly wind the wrappings.

"Glynis, you have done this before?" It was a rhetorical statement. Angel could see and feel that she was in experienced hands.

"Aye, Lady Angel, many times. Whoever bound you before also knew what they were doing." The older woman playfully paused as she began to tie off the ends.

Angel saw how she was quizzically looking up at her and finally understood her train of thoughts. "Oh no Glynis," Angel said blushing slightly as she continued, "It wasn't Cullen that bound my ribs. It was actually my sister, Isobel. Our grandmother suggested that binding the ribs would help tremendously, and she was right."

"I understand. I would suggest keeping the wrappings on for a few more days or longer if your breathing is still labored." Glynis double checked to see that her work with the lass's ribs was done right. "And your second request milady?"

Again, Angel bit her lower lip—a bad nervous habit that was hard to break. "Please Glynis, just call me Angel," said Angel.

"But milady, you are going to be the Alpha's true mate," said Glynis, thinking that answer should be enough.

Angel just shook her head. "It is Cullen that thinks we are. I on the other hand just want to live a normal life, contribute to his pack during my stay, and take my leave when the danger clears up. To do so, I cannot stay in this room, which brings me to my second request. Could it be possible for me to have a room on the complete opposite side of this place?"

The request startled the older woman. It was one thing to allow Angel to think that she would be able to just leave one day, but it was another thing to aid her to move across the estate to put distance between them two. "Milady, I don't think that is such a wise decision. It would be better if your room is right here next to the Alpha's," Glynis stated. But one look at Angel's pleading eyes, it was so hard to deny her request completely. "After dinner perhaps, I could show you the other rooms if you would like," she suggested.

Angel seeing, that she wouldn't get far with her, nodded. She would allow Glynis to show her around, so that when she was alone, she might be able to make the move herself. "Oh, thank you," Angel could not help but get slightly excited about it.

Later, Angel sat on the bed, fully dressed in a simple dress and was ready to go to dinner. She was nervous beyond belief. She had no idea what to expect from the pack members. Angel really hoped that many were like Glynis. She was truly a kind woman. Angel felt quite refreshed after showering and having her bindings re-wrapped

"Oh, lassie. You truly are the most bonnie lass my eyes have ever seen," Glynis said as she helped brush and tie back Angel's hair in a delicate way.

"You are kind, but I assure you that your compliments are wasted on me."

Glynis was about to argue with Angel when she saw the look of stubbornness in the lass's eyes. Glynis smiled inwardly. The lass was proud, stubborn, and her heart was generous to a fault—this she was easily able to see. But was she strong enough? Would she be afraid of the Alpha? Would she be able to stand up to the challenges that would come her way? Glynis shrugged and relented. "I will be taking my leave now. Cullen should be up very shortly," she announced.

Angel nodded, and waited for the inevitable. She was going to face the pack members rather she liked it or not. ++++++++++++++++++++++++

"Come on Angel, please don't drag this out longer than it has to be," said Cullen, as he looked down at his watch for what seemed like the hundredth time. First it took forever to get Angel out of her room. But of course when Cullen mentioned to her acting like a coward, she straightened her back, and walked right out of the room. Cullen had to smile at that. At least he knew one way to make her move. But now she was asking every little question about ever small detail on their way—of course delaying their arrival. "Angel, I will gladly explain every picture or item to you later. But we must go to dinner. There are a lot of people that are waiting for our arrival. I don't think you would like to make an entrance sprawled over my shoulder as I carry you," commented Cullen. He knew that would get her again.

"I am perfectly capable of walking on my own two feet, thank you very much," snipped Angel. Angel once again, lifted her chin, and began to descend down the stairs. But once she was at the bottom, she looked left to right, not knowing where to go now.

That's when Cullen came up beside her, and took her arm. "This way," he instructed as he led her down the hallway to the left.

Angel began to feel the butterflies in her stomach were just about to explode. Cullen was literally throwing her to the wolves—pun not intended. Just then when they turned the corner, she was able to hear the sounds of so many voices. Just how many people were in fact, part of this pack??

Angel was just about to slow their pace down even more, but Cullen wouldn't allow it. "Come on Angel, you have nothing to be afraid of. I will be by your side through this all, trust me."

"But I don't trust you Cullen," Angel spat his name with much venom. But she composed herself quickly, as they entered through the double doors.

At first, Angel didn't know what to think or feel first. She saw right away how many heads turned toward their way, and how the whole room became so silent, that she would be able to hear a needle drop. Angel breathed in deeply, and continued to let Cullen lead her to the main table, where she was grateful to see Gavin. Gavin just smiled deeply at Angel, and stood up to walk to her, where he gave her a small hug and whispered, "Don't worry, their bark is worst then their bite." Gavin chuckled at his own little joke. But that was exactly what Angel needed to smile genuinely.
