I woke with her on top of me, biting my neck and whispering in my ear ... "Daddy! Wake up!" I looked up at her with a lost look on my face and she had to laugh at me. She stood up and took off the top and bottom of her bikini. "Don't you notice anything different?"
I reached up for her with sudden lust but she stepped back, laughing at me.
"Aren't you happy you are going to be a daddy?"
I stared at her, her words sounding like Greek. Finally it dawned on me and I sat down stunned! I'd given up on having kids so long ago ... slowly a smile came to my face and this time I did pull her down. Kissing her breast I whispered ... "Don't you think we should make sure?"
We were married in July in Harlingen. It was a small ceremony but very nice. I took her on a ten-day cruise to Alaska, starting at San Francisco. We both enjoyed it a great deal and it was a time of growing closer and learning to love again. I would have thought I would have some trust and commitment issues after Janet but I freely gave of my love and my trust for her. Her sadness was gone now and our lovemaking was joyful.
In mid-October our beautiful daughter was born. We named her Valentina after the day she was conceived. We asked Chuy to be the Godfather, somehow sure that his punch at the Valentine's Day party had something to do with her conception. *

RD35over 2 years agoJust a nit pick re the boat. A Cabo that size would almost necessarily be diesel. Your reference to"gassing up" got my attention. Good story.

Anonymousabout 7 years agoI enjoyed reading it. I have thought often of moving to the coast, maybe down towards South Padre. Maybe Port Isabel, I really like that little town. Just one note, though, geographically speaking, Monterrey is not a port city, it is nearly two hundred
miles inland. I do realize the story is fiction but a modicum of reality goes a long way toward making a story feel more believable. I still give it 5 Stars.
Bo47over 7 years agoNice and gentle break from all the hard edged non-con and loving-wives btb storie on this site. At times it seemed a conversation with a new friend over a couple of bottles of Lone Star.

There are almost 2 complete stories here - the Kevin and Teri love story and the Ranger Kevin story - there was so much about Kevin in his early life and career it could easily be it's own complete story - or chapter 1 of this one -
Then the stry of them meeting and him helping her escape and the developing love - it has plenty for a complete story or at least chapter 2 -
That having been said I loved the characters and the story ran so true and believable - like so much of what you write -
I just wish there were more from you - I hope you are well!!
