If I never felt this love
I would have no inkling of
Just how precious life could be.
If I never slowed down enough
If I never let you in
I would not have experienced
The joy you gave to me.
Our time together was so beautiful
Lost in the warmth of your embrace
I never realized how love could be
My own heart reflected from your face
We will forever have those memories
No one will ever take your place.
So if I never am allowed
To turn back the hands of time

I would have missed the chance I had
