THE DARKNESS

The darkness is pervasive, encompassing my soul…
Weaving its tendrils through my mind…
Overwhelming my heart with the pain of separation and loss…
Gone are the sweet memories of yesterday,
Lost in the blackness of today…
Tomorrow’s promise is lost in the ashes of my tears…
My world is ripped apart by a jagged, wrenching tear,
A rift in the universe of my soul…
The silence is deafening, calling to me, shouting my name
From the apex of the mountain, echoing across the
Corridors of my mind.

It is a beautiful thing

when words touch your soul.
