Walking down a path,
Seeking and searching.
With different side roads.

Many so welcoming,
Few that would never be.
To think one path is the one.

Though it was not meant to be.
The path was all that one could dream.
Smooth, straight and easy.

Then all came to a stop,
Another path had opened.
Stepping lightly and slightly frightening.

Welcoming yet guarding.
The heart urns,
As it burns.

Wanting that protection.
Feeling the warmth from ahead.
Slowly closing and surrounding.

Perhaps this is the one,
The path so sought.
Wanting to be caught.

~~

Life's paths so varied; some offer safety and comfort, others risk and danger. And somewhere in all those options is that fleeting feeling that all chase, that elusive thing called love.

Pathes taken...

Loves path ~ sometimes requires changing course - proceed with caution...
