It is a constant, rhythmic pattern,
this nightly joining of our bodies,
a theme with subtle variations
even when in minor key.

A theme with subtle variations,
always pleasing, seldom gentle,
a phrase that bears repeating
and repeating endlessly.

A phrase that bears repeating
and deserves performance nightly,
it is a lovely ostinato,
evoking motions of the sea.

It is a lovely ostinato,
bass and treble intermingling.
It is a constant, rhythmic pattern
that tightly fuses you to me.

'It is a constant, rhythmic pattern...that bears repeating

and repeating endlessly' I'll dance to that.

Great performance!

With the Ostinsto segment I was vibrating! That was one powerful fuser you got here!

I would advise considering some variations to the “constant, rhythmic pattern” if you wish to maintain similar fusing power in your future together…

the beloved reprise

of a not so subtle theme

now ligatto, now piano

I rest between rests

finding a place to place my head

and not get a cramp in my hand

in honor of a tune I love so well
