HUH???

What is this nonsense? Do you have a clue? You mention Jeff Gordon earning 6 mil...how do you think he did that? He gets all kind of endorsement money for using certain parts in the car, plus you think BFW can just jump into a racecar and run well enough to run top ten in 20+ races?

Ramblings of a schmuck...this site is called Literotica, stick to the porn, or if you're going to comment on social issues, please make some sense!

Wow

I love it. You are so daring to write such an article. I think it should be in humour&satire because it's hilarious!

Which meaning of 'democracy' are we using?

I agree with the previous writer -it should be in the humour and satire section. But it's great. As a Brit, the intricacies of the USA electoral system seem to me to be a mystery unto themselves. There's no way I can see them as 'democratic', in the sense that I understand that term. On the last two occasions, the guy that fewer people wanted actually won - though much of the world scored it as a foul. This time, there was a clear winner, and whether we like it or not, we really can't complain that the result was warped by the mediæval system. Still - as the writer points out - it does demonstrate that such an achievement is available to anyone who can raise the necessary spending power. And that is the most undemocratic factor of all.
