So dead or not?

It was unclear to me if she ended up killing him or not. I assume she did but then its confusing as to why she bothered asking him again. Her wording as to why she might take him anyway didn't make much sense to me. I know he deserved it but I rather she hadn't tricked him if that was what happened. Other than that it was good.
