This is a partial casting of a larger piece. as it came out of the mold, I fell in love with its limited collection of symbolism, while capturing the female form interwoven with the roses. I chose French roses, that are quite different and, in some ways…softer and fuller than the English and north American standard.
I do honestly believe that roses are the heart and soul of femininity. Soft but stiff in the inner structure. Beautiful and fragrant, but with a sharp set of thorns, ready to protect and do battle at all times.

Dame de la Fluer -Partial Casting #1

I believe roses are the epitome of a woman. They are beautifu, fragrant, are edible and have sharp thorns. Marble dust epoxy matrix
