The DSU Theater & Dance Department, along with Ruthie's boss, the Chairman of the Art Department, were heavily promoting the choreographer who would be directing Penelope and Vicky through their dance routines. She was rising star in the modern dance community called Candace Winston.

Candace Winston specialized in "minimalism", which meant the stage was completely empty and her dancers were naked. There was nothing for the audience to see apart from the dancers and whatever movement they were doing at the moment.
