Ruthie and Vicky casual on campus

Vicky's emotional state gave Ruthie an opportunity to influence her and exercise some control over her. One of the first things that Ruthie changed about her cousin was what she wore. It was understood that Ruthie expected Vicky to be naked whenever she was in the apartment: that was established the day Vicky moved in. However, Ruthie also wanted her cousin to wear much less in public. With the prodding of her hostess, Vicky gave up her thick jeans and industrial-style boots in favor of Ruthie's wardrobe of very light dresses and Danubian chemises. Vicky quit wearing bras and, when she was wearing a chemise that was open on the sides, also had to go without panties.

There were days that Vicky even went beyond the chemises. At DSU it was permitted for women to be topless wherever men could be without a shirt, which meant anywhere on campus other than inside the classroom buildings. So, Vicky often went on campus with Ruthie wearing nothing but a loose-fitting skirt and her shoes, with no top.
