Ruthie's household Ruthie's rules

Ruthie had warned Vicky that she almost never wore clothes in her apartment. Vicky had understood what she was saying, but it didn't really register until Ruthie went to the laundry room, stripped off her dirty clothes, re-emerged not wearing anything, and casually started moving her shipment of Nebraska stuff to her room.

Vicky took off her jeans and boots and unpacked her bags while wearing just her panties and shirt. She took a deep breath. She knew that Ruthie expected her to strip off the rest of her dirty traveling outfit and put it in the washer. She also knew that Ruthie would be very displeased if she changed into other clothing instead of remaining naked.

Two parts of Vicky's upbringing came into conflict as she fiddled with her bags and watched Ruthie move and open her boxes. Vicky was totally not used to being naked or seeing people who were naked, but she had been taught that when you are someone's guest, you need to show respect by obeying the rules of the household.
