This is a rough map of the fantasy world where "The Apprentice" and "The Young Mage" and all the series to come are set. I did it in an online tool, and to be honest I didn't think it was going to be this hard. It's not much, but it gives you some idea of the places described in the story. Maybe one day I will be able to do it right, but for now, it is what it is.

NakedinNC_3 months agoMap is very helpful. It helps the reader visualize how the characters move around and provide dimension. The first time I looked at it, it reminded me of Bilbo's map in Lord of The Rings.
Anonymous4 months agoMap is not too bad, but it looks a lot like Australia only with different names for locations. Still, very good effort - I realize maps out of the blue are no easy matter. Thank you for it.

I know what you mean by things getting harder. I left some things unfinished because I didn't want to get tied down by the geography of my map before I worked out all my future plans for the series.
LeakyFaucit4 months agoB.e.a.utiful job! I spent forever trying the same thing, it is crazy hard to make a map of your world that matches both the terrain and the journey you want them to take, the longer the series, the harder it gets.
